We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance and Facilities Technician to work alongside the Engineering Manager ensuring the equipment, facilities and infrastructure operate at peak efficiency !
The is a strong focus on the warehouse automated systems ensuring the planned maintenance schedule of shuttles
system, pick station and tower, spiral conveyors is carried out and accurately recorded on the CMMS system. Along side this you will also be looking after the site facilities carrying out any repairs and compliance safety checks including fire alarm test, legionella tests to name a few.
This is a new site that launched just 2 years ago and highly automated so you will need to have a strong understanding of storage retrieval systems, automation hardware and software experience, SCADA and CCMS systems.
On occasion you will be required for site call outs out side of normal working hours and you will be required to work 4 Saturdays per year.
Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance and Facilities Technician
- Prioritise and diagnose breakdowns keeping downtime to a minimum, escalating to the engineering manager when needed or external help desks.
- Adhere to Health and Safety Standards at all times
- Day to Day maintenance of site MHE to a high standard
- Training operatives and supervisors driving continuous improvement
- Coordinating extremal contractors
- Maintain accurate records of the PPM and spares inventory

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's facilities team, providing essential maintenance support across a number of leisure centres in the Coventry area. The successful candidate will take responsibility for ensuring all electrical systems and equipment are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently to support the day-to-day running of their sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hours: 06:00 - 14:30 (1 in 5 weekly rota late shift 13:30 - 22:00). 1 in 5 weeks shift (5 day working week).
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on a range of electrical systems and equipment.
- Perform electrical testing and inspection in accordance with current regulations.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults quickly and effectively to minimise downtime.
- Undertake general building maintenance tasks as required, supporting the wider maintenance team.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and statutory requirements at all times.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding .
- Strong understanding of BS7671 Wiring Regulations (18th Edition) .
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
- Full UK driving licence - essential.

Location – Deeside
Salary – Upto £43,000 per annum, plus on call allowance.
Working hours - 37.5 hrs per week on a rota between 6am and 6pm plus on call every 4th week

As a Site Services Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients Deeside office, depot and associated facilities are maintained in a safe operating manner, that the buildings are maintained to the highest possible standards, in accordance with legislation and best practice.
Objectives:
- To ensure that the office, depot and associated facilities are maintained to the highest possible standards at all times and that the building infrastructure and fabric are robustly protected and cared for, including the operation of ancillary equipment.
- Work within the department on both planned and reactive maintenance.
- Maintenance repair and installation work involved with the operation of Large Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Plant, insuring that plant is available and maintained to optimum performance levels at all times.
- Maintaining documentation to ensure company legal compliance.
- Using the CMMS (shire) to ensure all regular maintenance is carried out.
- Ensure regular mandatory checks including but not limited to:-
- Legionella
- Refrigeration Plant
- Dock Levellers
- Access Equipment/MHE
- Maintain building management systems with particular attention to trend.
- Maintain stocks to enable the company to operate safely, effectively and efficiently with the minimum disruption.
- Installation of new plant and equipment.
- Continual assessment of plant, to ensure most effective performance, in both energy and operation.
- To undertake internal office furniture/equipment handling removals and relocation, including the conference/training rooms and any necessary audio visual equipment, configuring to the users requirements.
- R&D for on-going projects to ensure best practice within the industry.
Finance and Contract Management:
- To assist the facilities manager to ensure all contractual obligations are carried out fully, successfully and with the minimum disruption.
- To ensure all repairs and maintenance are carried out within budget and any foreseen expenditure is highlighted with capable parameters.
Technical and Interpersonal Skills Needed For This Role:
- The job demands knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, and a knowledge of all aspects of current Health and Safety legislation, Control of Legionnaires Disease, Electricity at Work Act.
- The ability to make decisions on behalf of the company on all preventative and remedial maintenance, with commensurate skills in technical evaluation.
- Initiative, clarity of thought and the ability to resolve problems quickly and accurately.
