The ideal candidate will have experience working at Heathrow within the baggage areas.
Key Role Purpose :
- Ensure there are no operational concerns due to equipment failure li>Carry out a variety of electrical and mechanical tasks, including system troubleshooting, in both scheduled and reactive maintenance settings.
- Ensure timely and high-quality completion of all PPM schedules and documentation, including adherence to stock management procedures.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks in a busy automated airport.
- Actively participate in H&S and QA procedures to maintain compliance and operational standards.

An opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Technician (mechanical bias) at a major industrial gases production facility in Morden, South London. The successful candidate will join a team of skilled engineers in maintaining the safe and reliable operation of the equipment on the Morden site and its Satellite’s.
This vacancy will suit an experienced time served mechanical technician with an engineering background (centrifugal / reciprocating compressors and pumps) with a knowledge of permit to work and contractor control.
The role:
Responsible for supporting the mechanical maintenance programme for all aspects of production on-site and on the offsite plants to measured KPI targets and response to breakdowns to ensure continuous reliable and efficient operation,
Responsibilities:
- You will be maintaining equipment in a manufacturing facility that produces high quality gas cylinders to our customers who use our products for Food preparation, Pharmaceutical, Universities and many other industries li>This is a hands on position, where you will be expected to maintain all plant and equipment, in adherence with all operating and safety procedures. This position includes installation, commissioning and maintenance of all plant and equipment on the cylinder filling site li>We are looking for a highly enthusiastic individual to join our team, with at least one trade. Ideally, you are a Mechanically competent technician, with additional trades (beneficial)
- In addition, the right person will understand our requirements to follow our Safety, Quality and Environmental standards as you will be required to follow our operating procedures diligently

Knowledge and Experience Required:

- In their designated discipline, experience of maintenance, including reciprocating pumps (ideally cryogenic) Electrical, Instrument and Mechanical subsystems.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of industry and statutory standards and codes of practice.
- Knowledge of COMAH responsibilities and competency requirements.
- Good understanding of current Health, Safety and Environment legislation
- Furthermore, you have experience of MS Office Programs and SAP would be beneficial
