An opportunity has arisen to join a leading business based in Weymouth, Dorset. Our client has engaged with CMA to recruit for a Senior Management Accountant to complement their existing and well establishing finance function.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, this is an essential role to ensure all management accounts and reporting is up to date, you will be liaising with the whole finance team and be producing accounts to strict deadlines. In addition, the successful candidate will be involved in analytical projects, systems improvements and supporting with acquisitions.
What will the Management Accountant role involve?
- Multi entity management accounts preparation including analysis
- Monthly overhead review with communication to department heads
- Budgeting & forecasting on a regular basis
- Support the Financial Controller in the daily management of the finance function
- Additional ad hoc reporting tasks where required
Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant vacancy:
- Previously experience working in a similar management reporting role is required
- An ACCA / CIMA or equivalent qualification is required considered for this role
- A systems savvy person who enjoys getting the best out of accountancy packages and Excel
- Multi-entity experience is beneficial

The role : We are currently seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BSc (Hons) Construction Management programme. Due to our delivery model, we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and at weekends.

What you'll be doing: As a Lecturer in Construction Management at Global Banking School, you will deliver modules related to the principles and practices of construction management, including the legal, environmental and technological context of today’s construction industry. You will develop and deliver comprehensive course materials, undertake all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment of students and keep up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
Responsibilities include:
- All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met

- Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
- Understanding and keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices

About you:
- You will hold a Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable)
- You will have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
- You will be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
- You will have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback
- You will have experience of accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records
- You will be able to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
- You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills
- You will be able to work with diverse groups of people
Desirable:
- You will hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent)

This workstream draws on a wide pool of experience, and this is an excellent opportunity to bring your experience (potentially from other areas of civil engineering) to the group.
Our projects deliver sustainable designs and prioritise Nature-based Solutions. We work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary infrastructure consultancy, where you will have access to our specialists in modelling, flood risk, environmental, ecology, etc., and coordinate and deliver outputs that meet the client requirements.
You will have the opportunity to be intricately involved from concept through to construction on a wide range of multidisciplinary projects, including flood risk management, river restoration, engineering, and navigation structures. You will provide civil engineering design support to our team and play a key role in successfully delivering our projects.

**About You**
You will have the confidence to liaise with colleagues and clients at all levels and the ability to organise your workload across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will be a positive and enthusiastic team player, who has a BEng/MEng degree in Civil Engineering and has achieved or is working towards chartered status.
You will have experience and understanding of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office programs and other relevant software packages. In addition to the above, experience in civil engineering specification for the water industry (CESWI) and experience in NEC construction contracts would be beneficial but not essential.
Ideally, the applicant will be able to demonstrate the experience, competency, and flexibility needed to meet the role's demands.
