ResponsibilitiesAbout the Role
We are seeking a Business Support Officer who shares our commitment to customer care. As part of the Place Business Support Team, you will assist in providing Business Support to our Development Management Team. You will deal with correspondence and incoming calls from both internal and external customers and use a variety of back-office systems to complete a range of tasks requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
The successful candidate will need to have good communication skills, ability to work within a team and be able to work on their own initiative. You must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and experience with Idox Uniform is desirable, although training will be provided. Working as part of a busy team, you will possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the Planning Service / Development Management would be an advantage.

Description
 
- Produce monthly management accounts, KPI reporting and board packs providing insightful commentary and analysis.
- Oversee the weekly profit and loss reports, monthly reconciliations and management information to required deadlines.
- Play a key role in the budget and forecasting cycle by engaging with stakeholders across the business producing summaries and presenting back to the leadership team.
- Preparing and submitting detailed and accurate forecast templates to the Group Finance team
- Be a key team player of the finance team, providing leadership and coaching to other members of the team.
- Drive strong working capital and cash management across the business and ensure accurate cashflow forecasts.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls. Drive compliance across the business.
 
First and foremost, my client are looking for someone with the right behaviours. If you are motivated, enthusiastic and naturally driven, you will do really well in this business.
You must also;
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Ideally have management accounts experience
- Manufacturing experience is desireable but not essential
- Good Excel knowledge
- Experience with Microsoft Navision is desireable or any other Microsoft package - not essential
