Pay rate: 23.67ph, PAYE/Umbrella.

Location: Barnwood, Gloucester

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 5 days

Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:

• Experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of writing technical and process documentation.
• Ability to read and understand relevant international standards.
• A track record of delivering process documentation compliant with a Regulatory framework.
• Knowledge of applying a consistent approach to a range of processes and the ability to influence and support process owners.

Role information:

• Managing an integrated management system which complies with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 55001 and IAEA
• Maintaining the management system, keeping this updated as the business develops.
• Reporting on Management Systems changes and provide regular progress reports on Management System updates and any process and management system improvement activities.
• Any other administrational duties required.

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot workflows, templates, and automation processes within the case management system.
• Design, prepare, and manage business reports and dashboards using tools such as SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
• Provide day-to-day IT support to users, including assistance with hardware, software, and application-related issues.

• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
• Familiarity with legal practice management systems (e.g., SOS Practice Manager) or similar.

• Previous experience in a legal, financial, or professional services environment.

TT Electronics is seeking an experienced Safety Management Systems (SMS) Engineer to join our aerospace team in Rochdale. This is a key role ensuring compliance with international aviation safety regulations while embedding a positive safety culture across the business.

The Role

As the Safety Management Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of our company's Safety Management System, in line with the ICAO SMS framework for small organisations and the UK CAA Part 21G and Part 145 requirements.

You will:

• Define the strategy, objectives, and effectiveness of the Safety Management System.
• Ensure SMS processes are established, maintained, and continuously improved.
• Lead incident and accident investigations, managing hazards via NCRi and FRACAS systems.
• Promote safety awareness and foster a positive safety culture across the business.
• Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and regulatory authorities.
• Chair safety meetings such as the Safety Review Board (SRB), Safety Action Group (SAG), and product safety committees.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and records.

Main assignment:

As the QMS specialist you are responsible for ensuring our business is fully compliant with the Company's Quality Management System (QMS), and certified management systems and standards. You will work to ensure compliance through auditing, stakeholder engagement, driving continuous improvement activities and leading in the system development. In addition, you will be accountable for day-to-day management of Shift Quality. Ensuring smooth running of quality to support business objectives & KPI achievement. Promoting standardisation of best practice and continuous improvement between shifts to ensure a consistent approach across shifts.

Summary of Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Day to day management of shift quality team
• Coordinating activities relating to our Business Management Systems (BMS)
• Being the business system liaison for all departments
• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, being the key point of contact for a range of third parties assessing our BMS'
• Creating, implementing and monitoring audit schedules
• Leading the prioritisation and close out of internal audits
• Developing and leading the compliance and improvement management plan(s)
• Proactively monitoring overdue compliance actions to ensure completion
• Plan and attend audit opening and closing meetings, and co-ordinate responses to audit findings
• Establish and maintain records of all audits, including any findings raised, whilst also ensuring any findings are closed out with notification from the auditor.
• Communicate changes to the BMS, along with advice on their implications to working practices.
• The efficient preparation and management of business system documentation (creation, categorising, storing, updating, archiving and retrieval)
• Group Level auditing IATF 16949 ISO 14000
