**Team/Role Overview**
Citi's Internal Audit (IA) division provides independent assessments of the company's governance, risk management and internal control environment for key stakeholders including the Board of Directors, senior management and Citi's numerous regulators globally. IA is a change agent within Citi to enhance the control culture of Citigroup worldwide and thereby support senior management decision making around the globe.
IA maintains a Quality Assurance (QA) function that reports to the Chief Auditor Professional Practices and the Group Audit Committee. The QA function provides independent assurance that IA has achieved and is maintaining appropriate standards of internal audit delivery (set against both IA's own internal standards and the Standards and Code of Ethics of the Institute of Internal Auditors).
The role involves close liaison with the global audit teams to ensure appropriate understanding, access to and the correct application of the IA methodology. In this role, you will be partnering with the audit teams responsible for risk-based audits for Technology & Business Enablement, Data and Program Management, as well as Technology Transformation coverage globally. This role will also support the global QA team.
The role reports to the QA Senior Audit Manager in London.
**What you will do**
+ Operate independently as a QA partner across the assigned SME audit teams, forming partnerships at all levels within IA. Support the QA Director (QAD) and Senior Audit Manager (SVP) in fostering a strong QA partnership with the Chief Auditors.
+ Provide assurance over the quality of IA's work via formal QA products (e.g., Scorecards, Thematic Reviews, Hot reviews and Regulatory/ QA Issue Validation)
+ Be a change agent in the continuous improvement program to deliver and maintain a best-in-class QA function, sharing best practices and lessons learned with the IA and QA teams

+ Establish and consistently maintain professional working relationship with key IA stakeholders; assist the QAD and SVP in maintaining IA stakeholder communications through monthly meetings as assigned by the QAD and SVP.
+ Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet strict deadlines, both internal and external (e.g., regulators).
+ Willingness to assist other QADs on an ad-hoc basis to ensure consistent utilization.
**What we will need from you**
+ Previous Audit experience, ideally Internal Audit.
+ Technology Audit or related experience
+ Subject matter expertise in any one or subset of the following areas:
+ Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

  • Food Safety Level 3 and HACCP Level 3.
  • Internal auditing experience.
  • Familiarity with BRC requirements, and ready meal manufacturing is advantageous but not essential.

About the Role

We're currently looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance Manager to join our team to work the Front-End Shift leading a team of six QA Technicians on the factory floor. You'll be the driving force behind maintaining and improving quality standards in a fast-paced, high-volume food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 6 QA Technicians covering both day and night shifts
  • Oversee daily quality assurance activities, including audits, checks, and compliance tasks
  • Maintain high standards across a range of multi-retail customers
  • Collaborate with the other QA Manager to ensure smooth handovers and continuity
  • Champion a culture of food safety, hygiene, and continuous improvement on site

About You

You are an experienced Quality Assurance Manager with a hands on leadership style who is supportive and focused on development.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 certified
  • Demonstrable experience in food manufacturing
  • Proven experience managing a QA team in a high-volume food environment
  • Strong knowledge of internal auditing, food safety standards, and contamination control
  • Excellent communication, resilience, and a proactive mindset

Desirable:

  • Degree in a food science or related discipline
  • Experience working with multiple retail customers
  • Background in bakery or similar food production settings
