Walker Cole International is searching for a Director of Manufacturing Science & Technology on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical organisation. This is a senior leadership opportunity based in the UK with international travel, supporting a growing drug product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead global MS&T activities across a portfolio of products, ensuring robust scientific oversight and lifecycle optimisation.
- Drive strategic tech transfer, scale-up, and COGS initiatives to enable successful product launches and continuous supply.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners to support quality, compliance, and technical excellence.
- Deliver global process improvements, knowledge management, and reapplication of best practices across the network.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in drug manufacturing, with strong technical knowledge of drug substance production.
- Proven track record in leading global MS&T initiatives, tech transfers, and process optimisation projects.
- Experience designing/optimising commercial drug manufacturing processes incorporating external supply partners (CMO/CDMO).
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across a matrix organisation.
