Our client, a renowned leader in advanced manufacturing, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their innovative team. This role, based at our cutting-edge facility in **London, England, UK**, will be instrumental in developing, optimising, and implementing advanced manufacturing processes. You will work with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency, improve product quality, and reduce manufacturing costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering, a deep understanding of manufacturing technologies, and a passion for continuous improvement within a dynamic, high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and validate new manufacturing processes and production lines.
  • Optimise existing manufacturing processes to improve yield, reduce cycle times, and minimise waste.
  • Implement and support lean manufacturing principles, such as Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and control plans.
  • Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead process improvement projects, from concept to implementation, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
  • Work with automation and robotics engineers to integrate advanced technologies into production.
  • Train production staff on new processes and equipment.
  • Monitor process performance using statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools.
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, preferably in a high-volume production environment.
  • Proven experience in process optimisation, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and automation technologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence teams.
  • Experience with process simulation and modelling is a plus.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, balancing office-based and remote collaboration.
