Manufacturing Technician
Northampton
31k per annum inc shift - 6 month FTC (Possible extension with a pay rise)

We're recruiting for manufacturing technician to join a world-renowned engineering business in Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands-on role in producing high-quality components that go into some of the most advanced automotive and motorsport applications in the world.

This is your chance to be a part of a company with a global reputation for performance engineering. You'll be trained to use a range of manual machines and hand tools. Every part you touch contributes to projects where precision and quality are everything. The role offers a great shift premium alongside there earlies and lates shift pattern (Monday - Friday) over a 6-month fixed term contract. You will get a pay rise after 6 months if the contract is extended.

What You'll Be Doing:
Using hand tools tools and operating machines
Carrying out quality checks
Sub-assembly work and laser etching parts

What's required:
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience with hand tools / machinery would be desirable

Manufacturing Operative required for automotive small/medium component manufacturer based in Daventry. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the manufacturing and automotive industry.

Job Overview

  • Review of finished assemblies & parts to ensure accuracy.
  • Report fabrication or assembly issues and assist in resolutions as required.
  • Participate in and attend cross functional meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the manager.
  • Testing components for Leak tightness using a pressurized system
  • Testing of components electronically for safe and effective operation
  • Assembly of components using hand held battery powered tooling
  • Visual Inspection of welds
  • Removal of weld fume and spatter from main areas of the exhaust

Job Requirements

  • Good work ethics as this role is crucial to the process flow

  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Must be diligent and have the ability to focus on the task in hand
