Your new role

As Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and improving manufacturing systems, procedures, and equipment. Working closely with the Lead Engineer, you'll drive efficiency, implement lean principles, and support production teams to meet ambitious timelines. This is a dynamic role suited to someone with a proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities include planning and implementing cost-effective production methods for sub-components and finished machines, coordinating with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues. Creating and maintaining build/drawing packs in line with Engineering Change Orders and New Product Development and driving Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Line Balance, 5S, and Poke Yoke. Ensuring safe working practices across all processes. Providing hands-on support to the manufacturing department.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll need a minimum HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent experience, along with, strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Oracle preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and 3D modelling software and experience in Lean Manufacturing and familiarity with machine shop/fabrication environments. Excellent organisational and multitasking skills. A logical, methodical approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure.
