Our client, a prominent player in the Manufacturing & Production sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Quality Control Manager to lead their quality assurance initiatives. This is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to manage quality processes and teams from anywhere. You will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining robust quality control systems to ensure products consistently meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control policies, procedures, and standards across all manufacturing operations.
  • Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to ensure they meet predefined specifications.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Quality Control technicians and inspectors, providing guidance and performance management.
  • Manage the calibration and maintenance of all quality control equipment and instrumentation.
  • Investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage the quality control budget and resource allocation effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing quality management systems (QMS).
  • Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma methodologies, and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using quality control software and data analysis tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.

Carbon60 is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Broughton, UK. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in identifying, analysing, and solving recurring technical issues on the production floor.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for providing on-shift line-side support to manage technical challenges and drive continuous improvement. This includes addressing issues such as missing parts, non-conformities, outstanding work, maintenance, and optimising the use of jigs and tools. The successful candidate will also support capacity management, anticipating fluctuations in the product life cycle and developing the necessary competencies.

Double Day Shift Pattern (20% uplift on rate)

Alternating weeks of morning and afternoon Monday to Friday

Mornings - 6:00am - 1:10pm

Afternoons - 1:30pm - 8:40pm


To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

- Desirable NVQ Level 4 / HNC or equivalent qualification
- Background in Manufacturing Engineering
- Previous experience in a technical role, with knowledge of CATIA and SAP (preferred)
- Basic understanding of aircraft build philosophy

  • Strong knowledge of complex manufacturing processes such as machining, fabricated assemblies, PCBAs, welding, coatings, NDT, or composites.
