The Requirements Team SMEs will work with the Courseware and Media Teams to identify technical data requirements for the development of Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) courseware and media. Having identified the data requirements, the Requirements Team SME will work with the courseware and media content developers to contextualise training and language and ensure correct conditions and standards are applied to the training solution.

**Responsibilities**

Based in our client's state-of-the-art facilities in **Southampton, Hampshire, UK**, this apprenticeship offers a comprehensive blend of on-the-job training and theoretical study. You will work alongside experienced engineers, learning to maintain, repair, and commission complex marine propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and control systems. Responsibilities will include assisting with routine maintenance schedules, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs using appropriate tools and techniques, and ensuring all work complies with stringent safety and quality standards. The program will provide exposure to various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering, specific to the maritime environment. Apprentices will be enrolled in a recognized training course, leading to a Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Marine Engineering. Essential qualities include a strong work ethic, a keen interest in engineering, good practical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You must possess a minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above, including Maths, English, and a Science or Technical subject.
