Role: Media Buyer (Contractor)

Function: Media Buying | Meta & TikTok Ads | Acquisition Strategy

Responsibility: Drive return on ad spend through paid ads for e-commerce clients

Reports to: Growth Strategist

Compensation: B2B Contract - £1500 - £500 (Per month rate)

Job Type: This is an initial 3-month contract with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and mutual fit.

Background:

Founded in 2019 by Olly Hudson and Joe Marston, Soar With Us has rapidly grown into one of the UK’s premier advertising agencies for e-commerce brands. Our 25-person team spent over £20 llion on Meta and TikTok ads for clients in 2022, working with brands like The Essence Vault, Art of Football, and Public Desire. As part of our latest growth phase, we're seeking skilled Paid Social Managers to drive success for our DTC clients and help us scale to new heights.

In this role, you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of clients from onboarding to continuous growth, creating data-driven strategies through platforms like Meta and TikTok. With a high degree of autonomy, you’ll be responsible for achieving key metrics, such as CAC, NC-ROAS, eROAS, and ad spend targets.

Main Accountabilities:

  • You will ensure success of clients within your POD by executing on paid media strategy; 
  • You should feel comfortable auditing an ad account and using the data collected to inform an ad account strategy; 
  • You will work with the Growth Strategist to establish a paid social strategy centred around client objectives; 
  • You will use ad account and Triple Whale data to inform ad account optimisations; 
  • You will effectively test creative created internally and externally; 
  • You will report to the Growth Strategist on key learnings, bottlenecks, and future direction of an ad account; 
  • You will ensure each action we take in an ad account is centred around objectives and KPIs the Growth Strategist has established; 
  • You will report on performance by communicating this with the Growth Strategist and weekly/monthly client reports;

  • Have at least two years of experience in running paid social advertising on Meta 
  • Are remaining at the forefront of paid social and using your insights to service clients with 
  • Have a great understanding of effective paid social testing and scaling approaches 
  • Have strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making 
  • Have a lot of experience in using ad account data to inform day-to-day ad account changes and optimisations 
  • Are highly organised and can ensure thorough ad account hygiene through your ad account structure and naming conventions

Experience & Skills:

  • At least two years of experience running Meta and TikTok Ads at a high level for e-commerce brands.
  • Preferably, prior agency experience or experience in a 7-8 figure e-commerce brand.
  • Strong understanding of Shopify and DTC e-commerce.

    Who Will You Report Into? 

    Hello, my name is Jesper Mansson, Head of Paid Media at PetLab Co., and I need your help.  We started PetLab Co. in November 2018 because we saw an unmet need to offer safe, effective nutritional supplements to help pets have their happiest, healthiest lives.  Since then, we’ve become the fastest growing pet health brand in the U.S., thanks in part to our rigorous approach to customer acquisition and conversion and our focus on building a robust subscription business. 

    And that’s where you come in.  We’ve built a highly efficient team of 4 paid social media buyers who, thanks to the help of some sophisticated automation, do the work of a team of 8.  However, despite the automation, we find ourselves in need of extra media buying muscle to capitalize on all the promising opportunities across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snap and Pinterest.

    How Will Your Time Be Spent? 

    Here’s an approximate breakdown of how you’ll spend your time while taking full ownership of your ad spend, revenue and CPA / ROAS targets: 

    • 25% on Analysis – Diving into campaign / ad set / ad / experiment data across various dimensions (geo, placement, etc.) to pinpoint actionable insights to inform strategy 
    • 25% on Strategy – Identifying new opportunities to launch, existing campaigns to scale, trends to capitalize on, new buying/optimization strategies to test, etc.  
    • 25% on Execution – Hands-on inside the paid social accounts, configuring, managing, monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting your campaigns / ad sets / ads / experiments 
    • 25% on Creative – Summarizing performance data for the creative team to facilitate rapid iterations on new creative tests and building creative briefs on new ideas you want to test 

    Requirements

    • 3 – 5 Years in DTC Paid Social – Managing $1M+ per month hands-on yourself in ad spend primarily on Facebook, Instag am and TikTok… bonus points for Snap and Pinterest. 
    • Full Funnel Direct Response E-com Performance Marketer – Heavy exposure to direct response marketing in e-com context spanning strategy, media, creative and conversion 
    • Data Driven – Extremely comfortable diving deep into analytics platforms, spreadsheets, etc., to detect patterns on which to capitalize while leveraging the latest in data science 
    • Think Fast, Move Fast – Energized by a high-velocity, high-growth entrepreneurial environment with lots of ambiguity wherein conditions can change rapidly 
    • Driven to Excellence – A natural end-to-end ownership mentality with a relentless inner drive to excellence that other people find energizing, inspiring and motivating
