Job Description

Location: London

Workplace Type: We ask all employees to work a hybrid schedule, with a minimum 2x/week in the office. We welcome employees to utilize office space more than that where possible.

Role Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced, commercially minded Membership Marketing Campaign Lead to lead demand generation and member engagement strategies for Procurement Leaders' global membership community.

With a critical focus on generating new business pipeline for H2 and beyond, you will take full ownership of marketing campaigns from ideation to execution. This is a highly visible role requiring heavy stakeholder management; you will act as a strong right‑hand support to the Marketing Director and provide cultural leadership within the team. You must speak fluent "commercial language". We are looking for someone who looks past open rates and impressions to focus on pipeline generation, conversion rates, and deep sales alignment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Full Pipeline Management: Develop and own multi‑channel campaign plans to drive new business pipeline, achieve MQL targets, and support overall revenue outcomes.
  • Commercial Alignment: Build strong, integrated relationships with sales stakeholders. Act as the bridge between marketing and the sales cycle to continuously improve conversion rates across the funnel.
  • End‑to‑End Execution: Own the execution of marketing campaigns across email, LinkedIn, web, and paid media. Write compelling email and social copy, and actively support the design process.
  • Experimental Marketing: Adopt a test‑and‑learn mindset. Treat every campaign as an experiment: launch, analyze the data, tweak subject lines and targeting, and iterate rapidly to improve performance.
  • Audience Tailoring: Deeply understand our customer base. Tailor messaging and narratives to distinct audiences within Procurement based on seniority, location, and industry.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management: Project manage key content launches, managing expectations across competing priorities and taking the lead on internal stakeholder communications.
  • Reporting & ROI: Manage budget and report to the leadership team on campaign ROI, pipeline impact, and recommendations for growth.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 3‑5 years of experience in marketing, ideally within B2B or professional services sectors; experience with executive or membership audiences is a plus.
  • Commercially Minded: Proven ability to link marketing activities directly to revenue outcomes. You can readily provide examples of past campaigns that successfully drove pipeline and sales alignment.
  • Native AI User: You don't just know about AI; you are a native user who has AI tools deeply integrated into your daily workflow for copywriting, data analysis, and optimization.
  • Exceptional Copywriting & Nuance: Sharp understanding of tone and message nuance, with the ability to tailor communications specifically for executive and membership audiences.
  • Marketing Automation: Strong understanding of marketing automation (Marketo preferable). Note: While you will have support for technical email build‑outs, you must understand the strategy and mechanics behind automation.
  • Data‑Driven: Highly analytical with a track record of testing, learning, and optimizing engagement rates.
  • Leadership: Strong cultural leadership skills, exceptional cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships independently.

Head of Marketing & Campaigns - Social Impact Startup

Job Description

Head of Marketing & Campaigns / Marketing Director - Social Impact Startup

Location: London - 5 days in office

Salary: Up to £100k base, with strong benefits

We’re proud to be partnering with an organisation that is looking to create meaningful, societal change.

Our client is an independent, commercially minded, and ambitious social impact organisation (essentially, a privately funded charity that doesn’t act like a charity!) on a mission to create meaningful change in young people’s lives.

They use data, research and science to show the importance of their mission, and they focus on the practical changes that genuinely shift future life chances, not feel good campaigns that don’t move the needle.

They are now hiring their first marketing leader, someone who can build a modern, commercially minded marketing function from the ground up.

The opportunity

This is a brilliant fit for someone with strong commercial private sector experience who wants to move into an impactful, mission led business, but without the big salary sacrifice, high politic and slow pace that often come with the charitable sector.

You’ll bring the discipline and ambition of a high-performing commercial environment into a mission-driven context where outcomes, not optics, matter most.

What you’ll lead
  • Define and execute a clear marketing strategy that drives real-world adoption, influence and measurable behaviour change among key professional audiences.
Audience focus – professionals, not donors
  • Design campaigns and engagement journeys aimed at:
  • Doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Education providers (schools, colleges, training organisations)
  • Social care providers and wider public-service professionals
Build the marketing engine
  • Create the core infrastructure: CRM, segmentation, messaging, content, digital channels and performance measurement that would look at home in a modern scale-up.
Behaviour-change campaigns
  • Lead integrated campaigns (digital, social, PR, events and partnerships) that shift professional practice, not just awareness – and back it with data and insight.
Brand and narrative
  • Shape and evolve a distinctive, modern brand that feels more like a purpose-led high-growth business than a traditional charity.
Senior partnership
  • Act as the organisation’s marketing voice at leadership level, advising on communications, positioning and stakeholder engagement.
What you’ll bring
  • Experience building or leading a B2B marketing function, ideally in a high growth, data led or digitally native organisation.
  • A track record of driving behaviour change in professional audiences – for example in healthcare, education, social care, SaaS, or other service-led sectors.
  • Strong commercial instincts: comfortable with funnels, conversion, propositions, and performance metrics and unafraid of ambitious targets.
  • Fluency in digital marketing, content, CRM and analytics, with a test-and-learn mindset.
  • Excellent storytelling and brand building skills, able to turn complex issues into clear, compelling narratives.
  • A hands on, collaborative style: equally happy setting strategy and rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
Why it’s different
  • Impact with teeth: your work will contribute directly to changing future life chances at scale.
  • Startup energy: small, focused team that behaves like a restless startup, not a slow, process-heavy institution.
  • Commercial mindset: this is a privately funded organisation that does not think or act like a traditional charity, ambition, pace and rigour are expected.
Finally…

This is a targeted search. Please apply only if you meet the essential criteria, we expect high interest and may not be able to respond to everyone individually.

JD&CO is passionate about championing diversity and challenging unconscious bias; every application is reviewed with care.
