As a Marketing Cloud Specialist, you’ll play a key role in how we communicate with our customers - from service-based messages to marketing campaigns. Everything that reaches our 200,000 customers comes through Marketing Cloud, whether via automated journeys or single sends.
You’ll be hands-on with campaign builds, automations, data segmentation, and testing, helping us understand the data that drives our communications and ensuring we deliver the right messages, faster. This role is about enabling the team to move quickly through the customer lifecycle, improving retention and creating more opportunities as the business grows.
This is a technical marketing role, ideal for someone with 2+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or a similar platform) who is ready to take the next step in their development with the support of an experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end delivery of customer campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including setup, testing, and deployment across email, SMS, WhatsApp, and print channels.
- Build and maintain journeys, automations, and campaign assets in Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Content Builder.
- Create and manage audience segments using Contact Builder and SQL queries.
- Implement and test dynamic content using AMPscript.
- Update and build modules using HTML.
- Monitor campaign performance, generate basic reports, and highlight issues or opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure all communications comply with QA standards, GDPR, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in marketing and other departments to ensure accurate briefs, requirements, and timely campaign delivery.
- Stay current on platform updates and best practices, with support for pursuing additional Salesforce certifications.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years’ hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or equivalent ESP), including Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Automation Studio
- Comfortable creating dynamic content using Content Builder
- Experience working with customer data and segmentation in Contact Builder
- Confident using SQL for audience segmentation and reporting
- Experience with AMP script and HTML
- Experience with Salesforce integrations with Marketing Cloud
- Solid understanding of campaign QA, testing, and reporting practices
- Expertise in using Excel for reporting
- Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Data, and Tech teams
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with an interest in developing deeper expertise in SFMC
- Desirable: Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (Email Specialist or Administrator), experience with Cloud Pages and/or SSJS, A/B testing and personalisation strategies, deliverability monitoring, and exposure to Salesforce CRM.

Requirements
- Practical experience in a comparable field is more important to us than a completed degree.
- Experience with Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud systems and/or integrating eCommerce platforms.
- Knowledge of digital marketing and/or CRM, and ideally the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant and/or Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant certification.
- HTML knowledge as well as basic knowledge of Java, JSP, or PHP; experience with Pardot, Datorama, or Interaction Studio is desirable.
- Practical experience with database systems (SQL) and working with large-scale customer data platforms.
- Ability to present complex concepts clearly in both written and verbal form.
- A high level of reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to provide pragmatic, rapid support to potential customers.

- Plan, create and deploy the email marketing schedule across all brands to an agreed framework (frequency and format)

- Ensure alignment of messaging within emails with the content calendar used across all communication channels
- Periodically assess the targeting of emails to maximise sales opportunities and minimise risk
- Generate new campaign ideas
- Track competitor activity to identify further opportunities
- Deploy testing framework across the email schedule for each brand, to assess the potential for alternative solutions to drive improved performance
- Create and maintain reports illustrating results for the email programme and identify opportunities to improve core metrics
The successful candidate will have previous experience in email or digital marketing, with a strong understanding of email marketing principles, best practices, and metrics, as well as creative flair.
