Job Description
Join a leading brand, communications and culture business and develop your career at the forefront of marketing innovation. We’ve been on a mission to make opportunity, reward and progress equal for all by solving challenges for employer and education clients for more than 25 years. And we’re just as ambitious today. That’s why part of your role as a Junior Marketing Consultant will be to grow our appetite for new business by helping to write proposals, respond to tenders and shine at pitches. Experience within the Higher Education marketing sector is needed to excel within this role.
As an incredibly multi-skilled agency, you’ll get to work with all kinds of specialists as part of our experienced Consultancy & Insight team. Tapping into talents across SMRS, you’ll lead and support on the delivery of consultancy projects and services – that’s things like our market-leading propensity modelling, syndicated research, brand tracking and creative communications. A natural collaborator who can build client relationships with ease, you’ll enjoy plenty of variety – from briefing and feeding back to colleagues, to reviewing research reports, drafting recommendations and presenting findings back to clients.
Requirements
As a Junior Marketing Consultant, as well as needing some experience in the HE marketing sector, you'll also need the flexibility to work with clients outside education too. We’re also looking for someone who’s highly organised, able to smoothly manage projects with multiple stakeholders and work with data to develop marketing strategies. You’ll need experience of writing complex yet clear reports and recommendations too, and the confidence and credibility to write blogs and potentially speak at events about the great work we do.
Benefits
We’re proud to shape award-winning brands, cultures and communications that connect with people. And we care about supporting our people too, which is why you’ll enjoy benefits that include 30 days of annual leave a year (plus bank holidays), hybrid working, healthcare apps, and two charity volunteering days a year. So, if you’re as passionate as we are about making a difference through marketing, join us.
We are a culture, brand and communications business on a mission to make opportunity, reward and progress equal for all. We believe that a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace makes us a more relevant and more resilient company. We welcome people from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and experiences.
SMRS is a Disability Confident Employer. Candidates who disclose a disability and meet the minimum requirements for a role will automatically be offered a first stage interview. If you would like to make us aware of a disability, or if you require any reasonable adjustments throughout the application process, such as receiving interview questions in advance, please contact .
We are open to considering part-time hours for all roles.
