Job description
We're looking for someone who can lead the delivery of integrated marketing and communications campaigns for HMRC-across low-cost/no-cost and paid channels. In this role, you'll also take ownership of a holistic, connected always-on search strategy (covering both SEO and Paid Search) that supports all our campaigns and ensures people can easily access the information they need, whenever they need it.
You'll be working closely with internal digital teams and external agencies to make sure everything is optimised, evaluated, and continuously improved.
There are two core elements to this role, including:
Integrated Campaign Leadership:
- Planning: Lead and co-ordinate key marketing paid for campaigns from end-to-end, working with Communications Business Partners to understand business objectives, and seeking input from specialists across the Communications Directorate and agencies to effectively plan marketing campaign.
- Delivery: Oversee the delivery of integrated campaigns across paid for channels, supported with low cost/ no cost. Using data to optimise the campaign to drive greater effectiveness.
- Evaluation: Leading post campaign evaluation against business objectives, calculating ROI and providing key learnings.
- Leadership: Leading a team (at least two direct reports) a group of agencies and virtual project team to plan, deliver and evaluate campaigns.
Connected Search Expertise:
- Develop holistic always on connected strategy for Search that goes beyond the traditional search engines and considers places where customers search for data (including blogs, YouTube, etc.)
- Serve as a subject matter expert in search strategies, encompassing both Paid Search and SEO, to optimise how HMRC customers discover and access information and support resources.
- Drive continuous improvement in search performance through data analysis, testing, and implementation of best practices.
Other responsibilities:
- Overseeing running of virtual project teams, ensuring effective collaboration across different expert teams (Digital, PR, External Affairs, etc.).
- Developing a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Acting as an adviser on marketing campaigns content and delivery.
- Work with internal stakeholders across HMRC, wider government, external agencies and campaign partners to ensure effective and integrated communication campaign delivery.
Person specification
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- Proven track record of successful marketing campaign delivery: Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and measure the impact of marketing campaigns across various channels, including paid, owned, and earned media.
- Experience in developing data-driven search marketing approaches, including multi-channel search strategies.
- Strong agency management skills: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with external agencies, such as creative, media, and other agencies, to deliver high-quality work. This includes the experience in inspiring agencies through clear and concise briefings.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: Strong analytical skills to identify opportunities, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
- Results-oriented: Proven ability to deliver high-quality work on time and achieve measurable results.
- Collaborative team player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- Effective communicator: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
Essential Criteria
- Strong experience in delivering paid-for marketing campaigns across various media channels that delivered tangible business results.
- Advanced paid search and SEO marketing experience in complex, content-rich environments, including developing sophisticated search strategies across Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other new and emerging platforms.
- Proven experience in leading, managing, and motivating teams and agency partners (incl. creative, media planning and buying agencies) to drive desired behaviour change
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex challenges proactively.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in government or public sector digital marketing.
- Qualifications in digital marketing, communications, or related field.
- Experience with accessibility-focused digital communication strategies.
- Certification in Google Ads, Google Analytics, or equivalent professional digital marketing credentials.

**The Segment Content Marketing and Campaigns Manager** has global responsibility for developing the segment positioning, integrated marketing strategy and associated demand generation activities for the Data Centers segment. This is a pivotol role that will work closely with commercial leaders of the segment, business units, sales and field marketing organizations to design and develop integrated marcom campaigns that help position Eaton as a thought leader and preferred partner on the most important power management challenges facing customers. This role will drive measurable and significant improvements to customer preference for Eaton and demand generation for strategic revenue-generating products (hardware, software and services) and will achieve these objectives by delivering tailored and engaging content to support customers, as well as Eaton sellers, at all stages in their buying journey. This role will leverage regional and local input in the development of the campaign strategy and work closely with field teams to drive campaign activation and optimization.
**Main Responsibilities:**
+ Differentiating Eaton with an integrated marketing strategy that build engagement and trust between Eaton and its customers in that segment across all relevant geographies.
+ Development of integrated marketing campaigns that drive demand generation for strategic revenue-generating offers (as defined by segment strategy teams) in the segment (hardware, software and services)
+ Developing the campaign content and audience engagement strategy, as well as GTM approach (working closely with all relevant commercial and CoE leaders)
+ Leading development of the segment message map and buyer journey maps (including definition of scenarios)

Digital Marketing Executive (Part-Time) / Looking for Candidates Based in Kent or Sussex / £13,500 Per Annum + Benefits
Are you a results-driven digital marketer with a passion for driving sales enquiries and growing a brand's online presence? We are looking for a skilled and proactive Digital Marketing Executive to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on a diverse range of marketing activities and enjoys the flexibility of a hybrid working model.
This is a part-time, remote position for 2.5 days per week. While the role is remote, you must be based in Kent or Sussex for a simple commute to our site to produce videos. The working days are flexible, with hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm/ 9.00 – 1.00 pm on the half day.
What’s in it for me?
- A salary of £3,500 per annum ( 7,000 full-time equivalent) li>Company pension scheme after a 3-month probation period (3% company contribution, 5% employee contribution).

Key Responsibilities:
As our Digital Marketing Executive, you'll be responsible for:
- Managing our Google, Bing, and Call Tracking Metrics platforms to optimize performance and increase sales enquiries.
- Creating and editing engaging machine videos for our social media channels.
- Coordinating and managing our exhibition presence, from liaising with designers to set up and de-rig. We currently attend one pet food exhibition.
- Developing and executing effective e-shot campaigns , both in-house and through external digital magazines.
- Working alongside our graphic designer to create digital marketing advertisements.
Skills and Experience Required:
- 5 + years’ hands-on experience in managing PPC campaigns. < i>Proven success implementing SEO strategies that follow Google best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
- Bonus points for social media or CRO experience.
