-Process check-outs and resolving any disputed charges
-Process payments and room charges, as well as cashing guests' personal and traveller's cheques
-Confirm reservations and cancellations, running daily reports on the number of arrivals and departures

**POSITION SUMMARY**
The role of the Finance Supervisor is to assist the Finance Manager with the day-to-day operation of the Finance / Accounting department. Technical responsibilities encompass overseeing the Income Audit, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & the General Cashier functions. In addition, the Finance Supervisor will ensure that all months end related General Ledger activity including Bank Reconciliations & Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed according to period end requirements.
**MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ On the first day of the following month, ensure all accruals/accounts to be completed.
+ Ensure all Income Audit functions have been completed accurately.
+ Review and clear all 'P' accounts if applicable.
+ Ensure all City Ledger payments are posted. Check with ADOF to ensure postings are in balance.
+ On the first day of every month, print all relevant month-end reports from Opera A/R.
+ Travel Agency commissions should be calculated at the end of each month.
+ Reconcile Cash Clearing
+ On the 1st of each month, complete the monthly aging report, calculating the DCSO days and providing an explanation for all accounts over 60 days outstanding. The following AR aging details should be forwarded to the ADOF.
**EXPERIENCE:**
+ Previous experience working within a self accounting hotel in the following disciplines is desirable:
+ Income Audit
+ Accounts Receivable / Credit Control
+ Accounts Payable
+ General Cashier
+ Cost Controller
**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
+ Must possess a high degree of numerical literacy
+ Proven analytical skills
+ Must possess the ability to problem solve

**WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING?**
+ Complete all direct billing ensuring correct back up is attached.
+ Apply all payments accurately, in a timely manner.
+ Chase all outstanding invoices, ensuring prompt payment in line with payment terms.
+ Make chase notes in Opera, so that clear records are kept of conversations and expected payment dates.
+ Validate and check all event and group invoices and back up, to ensure that all revenue has been correctly raised and billed to the correct client.
+ Liaise and answer client queries in a professional and courteous manner.
+ Process Marriott reward vouchers in a timely manner.
+ Process and allocate Marriott Reward redemption payments when received on the Wash bill monthly. Allocate accurately.
+ Ensure all PM accounts are checked out within 5 days of the completion of the event or group
+ Strive to achieve DSCO days and Ageing targets monthly.
+ Ensure all payment methods and deposits are in place for all events and groups, prior to arrival. Liaise closely with groups and events team on any challenges. Highlight to Finance Manager any specific issues.
+ Assist the Groups and events team in applying for credit from Shared Service Centre, well in time of the event, wherever possible.
+ Know the hotels LSOPs relating to credit management and ensure they are applied in every case.
+ Ensure completion of month end task list.
+ Reconcile balance sheets relevant to Accounts Receivable and provide back up in line SOPs.
