Role responsibilities
- Teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class group
- Use our positive behavior policy to hold our children to account and to eable them to become responsible citizens
- Motivate our children to want to access learning, develop a love of learning and thrive
Requirements
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Successful teaching experience
- SEN Experience with a focus on nurture for children with SEMH and ASC needs.
- A good knowledge of the National Curriculum in more than one area preferably Science and/or Maths
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Reflective practitioner
- A good understanding of therapeutic approaches to education
- Ability to adapt teaching to meet childrens needs
- Proven ability to offer dynamic & engaging lessons

Lamledge School provides specialist education to pupils with social, emotional and behaviour difficulties. We are within a commutable distance of Telford, Dudley, Stourbridge, Shrewsbury, Stone, Walsall, Wolverhampton and surrounding towns. About the Role
As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a dynamic and inclusive science curriculum that not only meets the academic needs of our students but also supports their social and emotional development. You'll work as part of a collaborative and supportive team to help pupils re-engage with education, overcome barriers to learning, and build the confidence and skills they need for life beyond school.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a new and growing specialist SEN provision in the heart of East Sussex. Our school supports pupils aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, offering a personalised and therapeutic learning environment designed to meet each pupil’s academic and personal potential
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated Science curriculum, tailored to the diverse needs and abilities of students with SEMH
- Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that promotes a love of learning and intellectual curiosity
- Employ engaging, multi-sensory and inclusive teaching strategies to meet a range of learning styles and individual needs
- Contribute to the development of schemes of work and lesson planning within the Science department
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, set clear targets, and provide constructive feedback to support academic and personal growth
- Work closely with the wider school team, including therapists, support staff, and senior leadership, to deliver holistic support
- Incorporate Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) development across science lessons
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour and engagement, using positive behaviour support approaches aligned with SEMH best practice
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
- A genuine passion for working with young people with SEMH needs
- Experience working in specialist settings (SEMH or Alternative Provision) – desirable but not essential
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire, motivate and support pupils with complex needs
- A flexible, resilient, and compassionate approach to teaching
- Full UK Driving Licence

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary SEND Teacher (Maternity Cover) to join our team at Lamledge School in Shifnal.
About the Role
This is a rewarding, fixed-term opportunity to deliver a highly personalised and therapeutic curriculum to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism (ASC), and associated developmental differences.
You will take a creative and individualised approach to teaching, planning lessons tailored to each pupil’s EHCP and developmental level, with a strong focus on engagement, emotional wellbeing, and academic progress.
This role would suit a teacher who is calm, resilient, and innovative, and who is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching to pupils (starting from age 7) working at EYFS through to KS2 levels
- Plan and deliver lessons across the core curriculum, tailored to individual needs and abilities
- Track and evidence student work and monitor individual progress
- Provide regular, constructive marking and feedback to support pupil development
- Take responsibility for individual student timetables, ensuring their needs are fully met
- Draft, update, and review Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) in collaboration with the wider team
- Attend EHCP annual reviews and prepare detailed progress reports
- Work closely with support staff, therapists, and parents/carers to provide a joined-up approach
- Undertake additional duties as required by the Head of School
Who We're Looking For:
