+ Builds and/or adapts basic setup and test equipment for performance of tests.
+ Performs tests using general laboratory equipment.
+ Performs routine care of designated test equipment and work area.
+ Operates computer terminal to extract/input readily available information and to use available software.
+ As directed, follows defined test plans and datasheets. Evaluates test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results. Records and explains test results.
+ Reads and interprets results of tests. Prepares charts, graphs and reports to explain test results.
+ Examines test samples, reads measuring instruments and reviews test data with supervisor. Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams and operational instructions.
+ As instructed, examines customer samples and learns to operate basic tests for each case.
+ Receives instructions from and reports data to engineers and other laboratory technician staff. Records observed or calculated data on appropriate data sheets.
+ Develops working knowledge of the job, methods, instrumentation and systems.
+ Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.

+ Technical High School or Bachelor's degree (preferably: Electrical field).
+ Around 1-3 years of working experience in the same type of role would be preferred.
