YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Lead the creation of distinctive, multi-platform branded content for EMEA clients, ensuring all output reflects the diversity of audiences across the region. This includes originating innovative ideas, shaping editorial direction, and delivering content that aligns with both client objectives and the BBC’s editorial standards, while maintaining the highest levels of creativity and brand integrity
- Provide inspirational leadership to the production team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. Ensure the creative vision is clearly communicated and understood at every stage—from ideation and planning through to execution and delivery—while mentoring team members, resolving challenges, and maintaining high morale and productivity
- Oversee all aspects of production logistics, including the construction of detailed schedules and budgets in collaboration with Project Management. Ensure compliance with BBC editorial guidelines, health and safety standards, insurance requirements, and copyright regulations. Liaise with Rights teams and contract negotiators to secure necessary clearances and uphold legal and ethical standards
- Collaborate effectively across internal departments and with external suppliers and partners, maintaining strong working relationships that support seamless production workflows Represent the commercial face of the BBC brand with professionalism and integrity, ensuring that StoryWorks maintains its reputation for excellence and reliability

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Extensive experience in film & video production in either branded content, advertising and editorial capacity, with confidence and leadership skills to problem solve in a timely and effective manor
- To ensure all content is of first-class standard. Strong due diligence on rights, compliance and policy, creatively excellent, fit for publication on BBC platforms and aligned with audience needs and BBC guidelines
- Liaising with internal stakeholders in an efficient and collaborative manner; Sales, Legal, Compliance, Senior Leadership, Design, Social and Operations
- Lead the building of presentation decks for pitch and production
- Ability to lead pitches and present creative to external partners and clients
- Ability to breakdown and produce content in-house through collaboration and onboarding of freelancers where appropriate. Clear communicator, agile and collaborative thinker, good listener.
DESIRED NOT REQUIRED:
- Experience leading global production efforts, leading shoot days to ensure creative excellence and delivery across the board
- Lead a supportive and effective production environment to best support key talent and creative talent in working effectively and to their best ability
