What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Brand Manager, but working closely with the Ecommerce Manager and other internal teams, your responsibilities are to:
- Design, build and optimise e-commerce emails that are both visually engaging and commercially effective.
- Create layouts, graphics and copy-friendly templates that showcase products clearly, drive clicks and support seasonal campaigns.
- Analyse and apply best-practice UX to improve conversion and engagement across email marketing.
- Develop and enhance automation within the email programme, identifying opportunities to improve customer journeys.
Website
- Design and update website assets, including homepage banners, promotional graphics and landing pages.
- Work within Shopify to implement updates, ensuring assets are optimised for different devices and user journeys.
- Support with UX improvements, keeping designs clear, accessible and conversion-friendly.
- Explore opportunities to improve the overall shopping experience online, from navigation and product discovery to clearer calls-to-action and more engaging customer journeys.
Social and campaign creative
- Create graphics, animations and short-form content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest.
- Develop campaign visuals for launches and promotions, bringing ideas to life in a way that’s consistent with the Kite brand.
- Support with occasional print design (e.g. postcards, POS and posters) to extend campaign storytelling offline.
- Contribute ideas for future campaigns, ensuring creative concepts feel fresh, playful and on-brand.
Video and photography
- Manage the post-production of all product, lifestyle and behind-the-scenes content, including selection, editing, retouching and storage.
- Produce short-form video for social media, from planning and storyboarding through to editing.
- Ensure all assets are consistent in look and feel, delivering a polished, high-quality finish.
Collaboration and brand guardianship (woven across all areas)
- Work closely with our Marketing and Product teams to translate briefs into visuals that inspire and engage.
- Ensure all designs reflect Kite’s tone, values and visual identity, keeping our look consistent across every channel.
- Keep up to date with digital, social and e-commerce trends, bringing fresh ideas into our creative work.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in a creative or marketing design role, ideally within e-commerce or retail.
- A strong portfolio showcasing email design and build, including examples of automated campaigns and customer journey flows.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp or similar), with confidence in developing and optimising automation.
- Proficiency in CMS tools (Shopify or similar) and an understanding of UX/UI principles to support website updates and enhance the online shopping experience.
- Strong knowledge of social media content design (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest), including graphics, animations and short-form video.
- Photography and video editing skills, particularly for creating engaging content tailored to social media.
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro/After Effects) and Canva.
- Strong understanding of digital design principles, layout, typography and colour theory, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness, ensuring designs perform as well as they look.
- An organised, proactive and collaborative approach – you are able to manage multiple priorities while keeping projects on track.
- A genuine interest in sustainability and creating designs that reflect our brand values.
You will also be someone who naturally identifies with and lives our values :
- Integrity. You're honest and have strong moral principles. You always do the right thing.
- Accountability. You take full ownership for the areas that you're responsible for. You are proactive in making stuff happen, and if there's an issue you know to raise a red flag early so we can solve the problem together.
