**Join our Beer Manufacturing Team**
Our Supply Chain and Manufacturing team are problem-solvers, sourcing, producing and delivering our much-loved brands to delight customers around the globe. Over half of Diageo's 27,000+ people work in Supply Chain and Manufacturing. It's an intricate and sophisticated operation that's the product of logistical, manufacturing, and technical collaborations.
We operate Guinness packaging facilities at Marshalls Road in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Runcorn, in North West England, producing canned, bottled and kegged product for Ireland, UK and export markets. Significant investment is underway at both of these locations.
This role is site based at Runcorn which is an 18 Acre site running a 24/7 Operation with 4 rotational crews. It has 2 Bottling, 2 Canning lines and 1 Kegging production line. There are 90+ SKUs with 16 different Beer/Liquid types covering producing on average 23million cases of product per annum
**About the role **
As a QA Technician, you'll drive quality control efforts within production teams to consistently meet or exceed KPI targets. You'll focus on carrying out QC analysis, maintaining related equipment, auditing, monitoring and assessing adherence to quality.
Key Accountabilities:
+ Routine calibration of instrumentation and random cleaning and maintenance carried out as required.
+ Accurate results of 'complex' analysis input into SAP and Harford on a timely basis.
+ Stocks of laboratory chemicals and disposable/consumables, maintained.
+ Routine Process Control audits conducted to confirm compliance to QC plans.
+ Information and records made available to support problem solving.
+ Appropriate responses made to out of spec results for components and packaged beer.
+ Faults and fault trends recognised at team meetings and solutions identified
+ Completion of quality audits
**About you**
We're looking for someone who can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems.
You'll have excellent communication skills and be able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities. You'll have the drive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence.
In addition, you'll have:
+ An appropriate science qualification to a minimum HNC standard
+ Strong analytical techniques
+ Understanding of information systems, ideally SAP
+ Basic understanding of instrumentation: laboratory and on-line inspection

Qualifications Knowledge Skills:
