We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Care Support Worker to join our team at a leading Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Bradford. The role involves working with primary-aged children who require specialised medical and personal care.
If you have a passion for working with children with special educational needs and making a positive difference in their lives, this could be the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care and support to primary-aged children with special educational needs, including administering medication and attending to their health needs.
- Assist with daily activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
- Support the children with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
- Work closely with teachers, healthcare professionals, and parents to ensure the best possible care and support for the children.
- Monitor and document the children's health and development, communicating any concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Create a positive, nurturing environment that fosters the children's physical, emotional, and social development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a healthcare, medical support, or care role is essential.
- Experience working with children, especially in an educational or SEN setting, is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare, childcare, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care).
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
