Oversee & coordinate assigned QA program in support of customer accounts, functional accounts, or QA quality management system at a regional and/or global level. Provide support to management with insights, analyses and support in the assessment and promotion of compliance with regulations, guidelines, and operating procedures, risk identification and mitigation, quality, process, productivity/efficiency improvement initiatives . Manage the quality assurance oversight of projects, assignments, training and staff.
**Essential Functions**
- Provide guidance, interpretation, support, training, and key input to development groups for consultation and interpretation of regulations, guidelines, corporate standards, and policies.
- Oversee and participate in the documentation, reporting, and closure of compliance issues.
- Organize and deliver training to other IQVIA departments concerning the activities of Quality services, results of activities, quality initiatives, GXP etc.
- Ensure the follow-up of major and critical audit findings to ensure that appropriate actions have been taken and have adequately resolved the issues identified.
- Evaluate policies and procedures for compliance with applicable regulations/guidelines and provide recommendations to management for continuous process improvements.
- Serve as author of Quality Assurance Standard Operating Procedures ( SOPs) as assigned.
- Advise Quality Assurance management on system audit needs.
- Ensure the Quality Assurance database is maintained and up-to-date to reflect the status of audits being scheduled, auditor assignment and audit reporting and/or follow-up status.
- Host customer audits, mock regulatory inspections, and regulatory facility inspections as needed
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree Pref
- 7 years Quality Assurance experience in pharmaceutical, technical, or related area. Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Commercial Patient Support experience is a must.
- Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical research and development processes and regulatory environments.
- Considerable knowledge of quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem solving, risk analysis and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional training capabilities.
- Effective organization, communication, team orientation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently with initiative.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.

The role involves travelling to cover other Optical Express surgery clinics (travel costs will be covered by Company)
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Following appropriate training, supervised practice and competency achievement assessments, you will be able to undertake all designated roles within the surgery team working across two surgical specialities: laser vision correction department (LVC) and ophthalmic (IOL) theatres.
You will also be responsible for the following:
- Pre-operative testing; conducting tests prior to examination and treatment and assisting during the consent appointment process, including providing information to patients prior to their IOL or LVC procedure.
- Patient discharging; instructing the patient pre and post procedure on the care of the eyes, updating medical records, making follow up appointments.
- Laser technician; preparation and calibration of the lasers, understanding data, loading and transferring data, safe running of the lasers.
- Co-ordinating: Controlling patient flow on the day of the consent appointment and surgery appointments to ensure minimum waiting times for patients and managing queries.
- Assisting the surgeon during consent appointments and treatments – acting as scrub assistant (LVC only); taking notes for the surgeon; instilling eye drops.
- Undertaking the role of ‘HCA’ (Healthcare Assistant) in IOL theatre to assist the surgical team and patients during surgery and associated tasks such as decontamination of instruments.
- Actively participating in the end of treatment day activities; updating patient files, filing, compiling ‘end of day’ reports for head office, cleaning the department, stock and lens ordering.
- Reporting untoward incidents – taking an active role in patient safety issues and quality and risk management.

The School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences are committed to improve the way we deliver healthcare through the use of advanced engineering.
The department has 9 MRI scanners and a catheterisation lab, providing clinical and research MRI services in the areas of cardiac, foetal, neonatal and advanced brain imaging. The facility is embedded within St Thomas’ Hospital. Last year we conducted over 7800 clinical scans, of which over 4500 were recruited to research.

About The RoleWe are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our Cardiac MRI team as a Senior Clinical Support Worker (MRI Facilities). The post aligns with the role defined in the Society of Radiographers (SOR) and NHS England (Health Education) guidance on Developing Career Pathways for diagnostic imaging support worker roles.
The Senior Clinical Support Worker (MRI Facilities) is responsible for carrying out a range of administrative, clerical, housekeeping and clinical tasks that vary through the day to support the overall imaging services in Cardiovascular MRI. The post holder will greet patients and perform initial ID checks, register patient attendance on EPIC and CRF Manager ® (our current patient management systems) and prepare them for the MRI examination, as well as providing necessary care and support for patients and research participants during and after examinations. The tasks may involve undertaking trolley checks and supporting stocking up activities and undertaking IV cannulation and cannula removal for patients in MRI.
The postholder will be required to work flexible hours between 0700 – 2000 hours, over a 5-day working week in accordance with the needs of the facility. There are no on-call requirements for this position.
Staff may be asked to participate in duties over the festive period (Christmas and New Year) and therefore may not be able to take the King’s concessionary/closure days around this time. Instead, the entitlement would be provided through time off in lieu. There will also be a requirement to cover weekend lists which are run routinely to help with waiting list pressures. Hence, the post holder must have the flexibility to fully participate in the weekend rota, as well as early and late shifts in the week. Any work over outside the core hours including weekends will be compensated in accordance with the overtime rates applicable.
This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract for 1 year in the first instance with a potential for an extension, subject to management review. The post is required to be full time on-site in the facility based at St Thomas’ Hospital (i.e., there is no option for working from home).
