The Role
This is an opportunity for a quality-focused professional to play a crucial role in ensuring that complex medical devices meet stringent quality and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for both incoming inspection of supplier components and final inspection of manufactured products, working closely with the production team to maintain the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Inspection:
- Perform detailed inspection and testing of highly complex medical technology components and finished products
- Conduct incoming goods inspection of supplier-delivered components and materials
- Run comprehensive quality control procedures using precision measurement equipment
- Document inspection results and maintain detailed quality records
- Identify non-conformances and work with production teams to implement corrective actions
Production Support:
- Collaborate closely with the production team to ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards
- Provide real-time feedback on product quality during manufacturing operations
- Support production troubleshooting activities when quality issues arise
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimisation projects
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all inspection activities comply with medical device regulations and company quality systems
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
- Support internal and external quality audits as required
- Follow established standard operating procedures and work instructions
Essential Requirements
- Experience in quality control/inspection within a manufacturing environment
- Background in precision measurement and inspection techniques
- Familiarity with complex mechanical or electronic products (medical devices experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to work
- Good communication skills for working with production teams
- Basic understanding of quality management systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience in medical device manufacturing or other regulated industries
- Knowledge of ISO 13485, 14971 or similar quality standards
- Experience with CAPAs, NCRs, and SCARs.
- Formal quality qualification (e.g., Quality Control certification)
- Familiarity with inspection software and data recording systems
