Dronfield | Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm (flexible)
Salary: £51,000 + Benefits
We’re looking for a Planning Manager to lead our planning team and take ownership of daily and future production plans. You’ll work with production, logistics, and supply chain to make sure every bake is delivered on time and to the highest standard.
What you’ll do
- Lead and develop a team of 6 planners
- Own daily, short-term, and long-term production plans (ambient & frozen)
- Ensure service levels, plan attainment, and stock build targets are achieved
- Plan bake schedules across multiple production lines
- Carry out capacity modelling to balance short- and long-term needs
- Collaborate with production, logistics, inbound/outbound, and supply teams
- Use SAP/ERP and Excel to forecast, analyse data, and optimise performance
- Investigate planning challenges and drive continuous improvement
What we’re looking for
- Experience in planning/factory scheduling (bakery or food industry a bonus)
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- SAP/ERP experience preferred
- Knowledge of capacity planning, forecasting, and line capability
- Understanding of ingredients, logistics, and supply chain operations
- Proactive problem-solver with strong leadership skills
- Ambitious and ready to step up into a senior role
