Paint Mixing Technician
Location: Runcorn
Contract: Permanent
We are currently working with a plastic manufacturing business within he automotive industry. We are looking for a Paint Mixing Technician whose task will be to provide efficient and effective supply of paint to all paint plants, ensuring all activities associated with this role are conducted in line with company guidelines and procedures.
Key Responsibilities of a Paint Mixing Technician:
- Creating predefined paint mixes in the correct volume, to the correct quality, in the correct timeframe and delivered to the point of use at the correct time.
- Cleaning and flushing of paint delivery systems, conducting paint changes and reporting immediately, any adverse conditions which could have a detrimental impact on the output from the paint plant.
- The managing of defined paint stock levels in all kitchens and stores and identifying and reporting any discrepancies from the predetermined stock levels.
- Ensuring all paint quantities are measured and mixed within the tolerances defined in the mix sheet and the procedures outlined on the work instructions.
- To maintain a high level of housekeeping in the paint kitchens and to ensure all housekeeping routines are completed to the correct standard and at the defined frequency.
- To ensure all testing/SOP’s are carried out at the predetermined frequency using approved/calibrated equipment and are conducted in accordance with the training received and or documented procedures.
- To ensure all equipment is maintained to the appropriate standard and any deviation is reported immediately.
- Identify areas for improvement and assist with implementing solutions.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in line with health and safety and environmental requirements.
- Ensure effective communication through clear and concise written handovers and verbal communication.
- Provide support to other areas of the business when required.
An ideal candidate for the Paint Mixing Technician would have:
- Experience staying motivated within a fast-moving business.
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and accurately.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding and experience of lean manufacturing processes.
- Hapy to work within a twenty-four-hour operation with flexibility of working all 3 rotating shifts.
