Comcast NBCUniversal have a global mobility programme that covers all cross-border transfers globally, including long-term and short-term assignments and one-way transfers across all our different business units and locations, working closely with a network of partners to deliver a high touch global mobility solution to the business.
OVERVIEW
This role sits in NBCUniversal HR, reporting to Senior Manager, Global Mobility. Based in London, the role is intended to support the day-to-day operational effectiveness of the Global Mobility team, managing the operational case load.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:
+ Supporting the Global Mobility team and all business areas with day-to-day queries from key internal stakeholders regarding global mobility
+ Managing the international assignment lifecycle providing support, guidance and subject matter expertise.
+ Initiating/preparing and reviewing cost estimates for all Global Mobility policy types.
+ Producing standard/ad hoc assignment and relocation documentation.
+ Initiating and partnering with suppliers for immigration, relocation, international medical and tax services.
+ Working with HR colleagues to inform them of different global mobility policies and ensuring that we identify the best approach for each individual according to the employee's and the business' drivers
+ Providing support to payroll and human resource professionals to ensure tax reporting and compliance issues related to global mobility are addressed
+ Updating and reviewing standard Global Mobility reporting e.g. current cases, vendor reports
+ Ensuring data quality is maintained in regular reporting e.g. weekly assignee reports, health insurance reporting, immigration reporting, lease expiry etc.
+ Reviewing and processing invoices against agreed fees/quotes/policy/to ensure accuracy. Liaise with third party partners to resolve any incorrect invoices.
+ Supporting annual Global Mobility projects such as COLA, Merit and Bonus review, Year End reporting.
+ Producing ad-hoc analytics and exhibits related to compensation and global mobility, ensuring they are aligned to standard template
+ Assisting in the delivery of ad hoc Global Mobility projects as required
ABOUT YOU
+ Experience at Global Mobility Advisor level
+ Understanding of remuneration, benefits, expatriate payroll concepts, balance sheets, tax and immigration
+ Strong analytical and technical skills, with a solid foundation in the areas of global mobility, compensation and compliance
+ Familiarity and/or experience with in-house and outsourced global mobility service delivery models.
+ Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload with tight deadlines
+ Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to form strong relationships across the business
+ Results-orientated with a pragmatic outlook and the ability to make the complex understandable
+ Creative thinker with good brainstorming and conceptual skills

+ Proficient in the use of multiple Technology systems. PowerPoint and Excel skills are essential.

The NAMR Mobility Tax Senior Manager will work as part of a team of tax professionals dedicated to regional and global mobility tax activities and part of a wider 30+ person tax team. The Mobility Tax Senior Manager will report to the Mobility Tax Senior Director leading BCG's tax strategies, operations and projects in respect of cross border mobility matters. This person must be an effective leader who is able to work independently in a fast-paced environment to manage many conflicting priorities. They will be required to coordinate and business partner with other Mobility, HR and Finance stakeholders to ensure that cross border compliance is appropriately handled to meet global tax compliance obligations.

Global Mobility Tax Senior Manager will support all facets of the NAMR (US, Canada and Mexico) and LAB (UK, Belgium and Netherlands) Tax region in respect of Mobility Tax matters, including but not limited to:

* Work closely with Mobility Tax Senior Director and Head of Global Tax to develop the Mobility Tax team strategies relating to NAMR region and LAB to support a growing number of mobile workers across the organization and handle day to day compliance matters within the Mobility Tax team
* Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships with Heads of Finance in respect of all Mobility Tax matters.
* Provide critical evaluation feedback and help support further functionality changes with Mobility Tax Compliance technology to track and manage global business traveller compliance.
* Manage successful delivery of key projects in respect of payroll change workstreams relating to mobile workforce. Handle tax authority risk matters and audits in respect of mobility and employment taxes and PE issues.
* Provide personal tax assessments and manage tax risk appropriately for Managing Directors and Partners focussing on advice relating to transferring and business travelling staff.
* Play leading role in collaboration with PSG key stakeholders on facilitating the MDP global tax compliance program in alignment with BCG’s MDP tax compliance policy as well as continuing to ensure MDPs receive exceptional service support from external vendors.
* Oversee day to day relationship with BCG’s external global expatriate tax vendor who provide tax compliance and advisory support to staff
* Keep track of budget requirements and spend for all Mobility Tax work with external vendors and ensure competitive offering in place. Continue to ensure BCG receives high level of service in accordance with contract SLAs.
* Oversee local office processes in respect of risk management and controls to ensure right amount of tax is being paid at the time relating to BCG’s Mobility Programs.
* Support and collaborate with key stakeholders across Finance and HR to handle policy matters relating to Global Mobility Tax.
* Work closely with Tax Senior Director to ensure right level of operational support is in place to support our tax strategies and further develop team strategies.
* Support Mobility Tax audits where these arise and play a lead role in tax authority expatriate tax audit and risk reviews.
* Ensure team is receiving the appropriate technical and soft skill training to develop expertise. Provide line manager support to more junior staff in the team.
* Ensure the right controls are in place to handle remote work situations to support the employee value proposition around remote work patterns
* Goal setting and semi-annual reviews will be administered and supported by this role however in consultation with the Tax Senior Director.

This role will be based out of our London office. The position will focus primarily on EMEA Immigration and Relocation needs, with a heavy emphasis on immigration.
Ideal candidate would be a subject matter expert in all things Global Mobility (Immigration and relocation; tax is a plus). However, it's important you are a team player who can adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment to be successful. Project management skills are strongly encouraged.
Your Impact
Serve as point of contact for day-to-day questions regarding immigration, relocation, and processes from internal stakeholders (foreign nationals, HR, Talent Acquisition, Legal, and managers). You'll be a key member of a global team, collaborating daily with Global Mobility & Immigration (GMI) partners in other regions to align on best practices, leverage collective knowledge, and drive a cohesive global strategy. Immigration
- Strong knowledge of end to end immigration process across EMEA
- Serve as the point of contact for People Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Team to assess if sponsorship for potential candidates is a requirement
- Manage new hire immigration cases by partnering with outside immigration partner and manage expectations from start to finish
- Work with current employees and immigration partner to ensure continued work authorization including amendments, extensions, and permanent residency
- Continuously communicate timeline with the various parties involved - employee, manager, People Business Partners, and GMI TEAM
- Partner with Senior Manager, GMI to develop and own the internal process for permanent residency requirements and ensure we follow all country specific immigration compliance requirements and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal partners such as HR Operations, People Business Partners, Recruiting, Payroll, Legal, Corporate Tax, Finance and Accounting to create solutions on streamlining cross-functional processes
- Data integrity a must -ensure and maintain immigration data is accurately maintained in Workday and other systems
- Provide general information, education, and guidance to People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition Team, and candidates regarding requirements for entry to specific country that are in line with immigration regulations
- Maintain Global Mobility internal resources (ASKHR/PANDA) for EMEA, which will include but not limited to, process workflows, policy guidelines, and other necessary resources
- Build and develop a successful partnership with our external immigration partner and hold them accountable to deliver a strong service for our employees
- Serve as the point of contact for People Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Team to assess relocation benefits and needs
- Continue to build strong relationship with relocation partner and sub vendors
- Work closely with Local HR Operations Leader, HR Operations and HR Tech to develop a more streamlined approach as it relates automation and process improvements
- Provide ongoing training/updates to People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and Senior Leaders as it relates to relocation benefits and/or immigration
Your Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role and able to demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in Global Mobility
- Must be experienced with Global Immigration and core immigration processes for EMEA
- Demonstrated curiosity and technical aptitude for evaluating, experimenting with, and integrating new AI/Generative AI tools into existing workflows.
- Proactively analyze existing workflows to identify bottlenecks and areas reliant on repetitive manual tasks, and develop creative solutions to improve process efficiency.
- Assess the root cause of various issues (process, systems, training, etc) and provide recommendations to remediate
- Excellent relationship building and customer service skills
- Knowledge working with tax, legal, payroll, benefits, on potential issues related to cross border movement is a plus
- Familiarity with Workday is a plus
