MFL Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time MFL teacher in Hull ideally starting 22nd t September 2025 and lasting until at least October 17th 2025. This is a temporary position to cover a period of sickness absence, and as such may increase in the future. Payment for this position will be in line with the main teaching pay scale, between 32,916 and 51048 (this may change if pay scales increase in the new academic year). Scaled down to a daily rate, this results in a daily payment between 168.80 and 261.78 depending on experience and qualifications. There is potential for a candidate to not plan and mark, and simply deliver, and payment for this would be between 140 and 180 per day depending on experience and qualifications.

This role will involve teaching MFK to Key Stage 3 and 4 students. Full planning and marking is expected, but there are some excellent lessons on bank making planning requirements minimal for this role. There is potential for an unqualified teacher/cover supervisor who is a MFL specialist/graduate to take on this role, with the planning being completed by the Head of Department at the school. You will be responsible for teaching French to Key Stage 3 and 4 and potentially Spanish to Key Stage 3 students.

Located in Hull, there is a large onsite car park for candidates that do drive. The school has an excellent reputation, and fantastic leadership which fosters a creative and caring environment for teachers to learn and flourish. This school is part of a medium sized, local academy trust, so experience in this school could lead to further opportunities in the future.
