Key Responsibilities

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will:

  • Comply with health and safety policies and regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to minimize risks.
  • Lock off dangerous machinery and notify for repairs.
  • Resolve breakdowns and carry out preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Proactively undertake preventive maintenance on offline machinery.
  • Complete PM sheets with observations and recommendations, filing them with the Maintenance Planner.

Qualifications and Skills

  • HNC, City & Guilds, or time-served apprenticeship with relevant engineering qualifications.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Multi-skilled with a strong electrical background.
  • Proficient in pneumatics and packaging machinery, with strong fault-finding abilities.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.
  • A flexible approach with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous.

  • Experience in undertaking preventative and corrective maintenance on high-value safety-critical equipment.

  • Experience in the use of computer-based diagnostic equipment.
