Both children are bursting with creativity and enjoy exploring the world through arts and crafts, imaginative play with Lego, and building with magnetic tiles. Isabelle is an avid collector of Maileg mice and loves getting lost in a good story, especially anything from the Harry Potter universe. She attends dance class and chess club. Isabelle is a highly articulate, intelligent, and sociable autistic girl. She attends mainstream education and is fully independent in her personal care. She can find transitions and changes to her routine challenging. She also experiences fatigue and anxiety, as well as sensory and emotional dysregulation. Alex is a lively, adventurous four-year-old who enjoys board games, swimming, football, and spending time at the park. He’s also a cat lover. While he has not received a formal diagnosis, Alex shows traits of ADHD and can sometimes struggle with sensory and emotional regulation.

About this client/child: This warm, open-hearted family recently moved from London to Hampshire with their two adopted sons, Callum (6) and Archie (3). Callum is imaginative, energetic, and loves junk modelling, dressing up as a police officer, and exploring the outdoors—his parents describe him as “once met, never forgotten.” Archie is a gentle, quieter soul who enjoys cuddling up with books and small world play. The boys share a close, affectionate bond and are each other’s anchors. Callum was adopted at age 4 after experiencing early trauma, which has led to sensory processing challenges and emotional dysregulation. He often experiences overwhelming “big feelings,” which his parents call his “fizzy” moments, leading to meltdowns. He has a disorganised attachment style and finds it hard to focus, showing signs of ADHD (though not formally diagnosed). This role calls for someone calm, empathetic, and trauma-informed—able to offer consistency and emotional support while nurturing both boys’ unique personalities and their strong sibling connection.
Overview of role: We are seeking an experienced SEN Nanny/Manny to provide valuable respite and support for this warm, open-hearted family. You will work closely alongside mum, offering attentive and flexible care that enables her to spend quality, one-on-one time with each child, while you engage meaningfully with the other. Key responsibilities include school runs, nursery drop-offs and pick-ups, organising meaningful activities and outdoor adventures, and helping maintain a calm, structured daily routine. The family is looking for someone with a relaxed, nurturing presence who understands trauma and can provide consistent boundaries and emotional support, especially for Callum, who has complex emotional and sensory needs. From September, Callum is likely to be on a reduced timetable. During the times that he is at school, there will be opportunities to assist with other tasks such as tending the vegetable patch or engaging in relevant training to further develop your skills.
Who this job would suit: This role would suit a SEN Nanny or Manny with a calm, nurturing presence and a solid understanding of trauma-informed care. Someone confident and proactive; ready to fully engage in activities - someone who genuinely enjoys spending time outdoors will be a great fit. Callum is highly perceptive and sensitive to other people’s emotions, so the right person will be able to offer reassurance, help him feel safe, and provide clear, consistent boundaries with warmth and empathy. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about fostering children’s development through supportive, creative, and structured interaction.
What’s great about this job: This isn’t just a nanny job—it’s a chance to become part of a kind, welcoming family living on a stunning, family-run farm in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. You’ll enjoy thoughtful perks like unlimited mint tea, handmade mint chocolate, and even beautifully crafted mint soaps, all from the family-run business. On occasion, you may be invited to enjoy a luxury stay in one of their cosy shepherd’s huts—perfect for relaxing evenings by a fire under the stars. The role offers a peaceful, nature-rich setting with opportunities for outdoor adventures, wildlife spotting, and meaningful one-on-one time with the children—ideal for someone who values both connection and calm.
Who is recruiting for this role? Snap Care will be carrying out all recruitment including shortlisting, recruiter interviews and arranging employer interviews. Please note, unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship for any of our vacancies.

About this child: Isabelle (8) and Alex (4) live with their mum, and dad, in West London.
Overview of role: This is a collaborative role, with Mum present at home. The SEN Nanny will work in close partnership with Mum to manage after-school pickups and the evening routine. After school, Isabelle tends to feel tired and prefers to go straight home to rest and decompress. Alex, meanwhile, may enjoy stopping by the park on the way home. Mum and the Nanny will divide responsibilities to meet both children's needs. Both children can experience emotional dysregulation after school, so the Nanny will play an important role in helping them regulate their emotions and return to a state of calm. Isabelle responds well to quiet craft activities, while Alex may prefer playing in the communal gardens. The Nanny will provide full support with the evening schedule, including homework supervision, and preparing the evening meal. They will also assist with bath and bedtime. Since Isabelle typically goes to bed earlier than Alex, the Nanny will care for one child while Mum attends to the other. During school holidays, there is more time to enjoy playful activities both inside and outside the home. The family is looking for consistency for both children, so candidates looking for a long-term placement are much preferred. The family travels to Cyprus every year for their holiday and would be delighted to have the Nanny join them. Additional hours are available during school holidays.

What’s great about this job: Supporting Isabelle and Alex is a truly delightful opportunity, and contributing to their ongoing learning and development promises to be deeply rewarding. Additionally, the role provides valuable long-term security
