**What do you need to be a Spa Team Member/Fitness Instructor?** Well, your main duties and responsibilities will be supporting the overall guest experience in our Spa and Leisure setting through answering guest queries; being knowledgeable about Health and Safety regulations; taking fitness classes with our guests; ensuring our fitness areas are clean and safe and going above and beyond to make sure guests leave with a smile! So, we are looking for someone who has.
+ Availability to work 3 to 4 shifts per week (24 hours per week contract), including weekends so weekend availability is essential
+ Experience working as a Fitness Instructor or similar (ideally within a Hotel environment!)
+ Fitness Level 2 qualification (essential)
+ Knowledge of Health and Safety practices, confident in maintaining a hygienic environment

**About the Role**
Our Fitness Team are currently looking for a Fitness Instructor to join us on a casual contract. The Fitness Centre at the Old Course Hotel offers the ideal wellness environment. Our dedicated team of fitness professionals can help fulfil personal needs, catering to all levels of expertise, experience and fitness levels.
Your responsibilities will include;
**Personal Training**
+ Instruct all scheduled group Fitness classes.
+ Carry out various tasks, starting from assessing clients' physical condition and creating unique workout routines for them.
+ Explain the exercises in a clear and efficient way, while demonstrating how to use the training equipment safely, to avoid injuries
+ Create one-on-one fitness programs for your clients, motivating and guiding them to achieve their exercise and wellness goals.
+ Keep up to date records of your clients.
+ Evaluating customers' physical needs whilst assigning appropriate exercise activities.
+ Build a positive and trusting relationship with members and clients.
+ Advise members on how to change nutritional and lifestyle habits as needed.

**Memberships**
+ Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and recorded on CLUB
+ Complete all membership cards and issue out

**Fitness Reception**
+ Fitness Reception duties as required
+ Test the swimming pool, hot tub and pool alarm and record readings
+ Answer all telephone calls, emails and App enquires promptly and professionally
+ Deal with all guests, members and day guest requests at the desk.
+ Ensure area is clean and tidy whilst displaying a 5* environment.
+ Ensure all classes, swimming pool and gymnasium bookings are scheduled on Resort Suite (RS).
+ Ensure all members and guests are recorded as arrived on RS.
+ Check all membership cards are current/active before handing over a locker key.
To be successful in this role you will have the following qualities and experience:
+ Level 3 or equivalent in Gym Instructor (Essential)
+ Group Cycling
+ Good time management including start and finish times.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Energetic and positive attitude.
+ Flexible approach to the job and be able to work a variety of hours including evenings and weekends.
+ Ability to deal calmly but firmly with the occasional "difficult" guests thereby reaching a satisfactory outcome.
