Competent Person experience
Your role as a Competent Person will be based in Croydon and will consist of:
- Lead and supervise a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and correctly.
- Conduct regular team meetings and briefings to communicate project updates and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols to minimize risk and prevent accidents.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of resource usage and inventory levels.
- Ensure that materials and equipment are used efficiently and maintained properly.

+ A BSc or MSc degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
+ Two to five years of experience conducting and reporting on site-based hydrogeological assessments, site investigations, and groundwater monitoring programmes and interpreting and reporting on soil, groundwater, and gas data.
+ A strong commitment to health, safety and environmental protection.
+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
+ Experience in contributing to or delivering Hydrogeological Risk Assessments and Hydrogeological Impact Assessments is not required, but is highly desirable.
+ Experience in numerical groundwater modelling, or geochemical modelling and hydrochemical analysis is not required but would also be advantageous.
+ You must be willing to travel to UK offices and project sites and hold a full, clean UK driving license.
