The Government Security Manager for UK, NATO and Commonwealth is responsible for the personnel and physical security compliance requirements of Oracle's classified engagements with the Government of the United Kingdom, NATO HQ, NATO member states, and Commonwealth countries. This new role will manage an international team of up to 7, ensuring compliance with Sovereign Security Policies, establishing appropriate and compliant Oracle Security Policies and, where appropriate, liaising with Global Physical Security. The ideal candidate is highly capable of operating in a fast-paced, international technology environment with high security requirements. This includes working collaboratively across departments, navigating global compliance standards, and supporting sensitive operations involving both local and international stakeholders. Prior experience of working in a Defence Prime is essential. Additional experience of NATO HQ, alongside US DOD, and a working level of French is a desirable.
**Job Description**
The Government Security Manager will be responsible for the security of Oracle's information systems, personnel, and facilities for all NATO government customers including NATO HQ and NATO member states, and Commonwealth countries. This position ensures management and oversight of compliance with classified Government program security requirements. Prior experience as an Information System Security Officer, or equivalent, in a Defence Prime is essential. This is an executive position, capable of working closely with government(s) and industry security counterparts, overseeing program management teams, and executives to ensure successful execution of Oracle program security activities. This is an in-person work position.
**Responsibilities**
+ Develop, enforce, and maintain security policies and procedures for information systems in accordance with customer and corporate standards
+ Manage the security authorisation process to include supporting systems owners with accreditation and compliance reviews
+ Monitor and manage security controls such as firewalls, access controls, data encryption, and system hardening
+ Risk assessment and management to include conducting vulnerability assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies
+ Incident response to include investigations, stakeholder communication, and reporting
+ Manage and maintain government sponsored personnel security clearances, to include:
+ Initial processing
+ Briefings
+ Annual Trainings
+ Management of reinvestigations and continuous vetting requirements
+ Debriefings
+ Monitor secure facility compliance with government facility accreditation standards
+ Conduct inspections; manage preparations for and representation at security inspections and audits by government security personnel
+ Establish security trainings and briefings specifically tailored to the unique requirements of the program
+ Oversee the Insider Threat Awareness Program
+ Provide classification management support to programs to include preparation and coordination of Program Classification Guides. Assist in the review of media and documents for classified information
+ Oversee visitor and access control program

+ Support cross border collaboration and contribute to corporate best practices
+ Maintain and administer information management plan for classified infrastructure
**Position Requirements**
Prior experience, within a Defence Prime, as an Information System Security Officer or equivalent and at least ten years' experience in the following areas:
+ Information Systems Security
+ Implementation and administration of security processes and procedures
+ Establishing and administering classified material control programs, including transfer, transmission, reproduction, destruction, and accountability
+ Administering government sponsored personnel security clearances
+ Management of a government accredited secure facility
+ Delivering security awareness trainings and compliance programs
+ Must hold UK Developed Vetting and NATO Security Clearance
**Required Education/Skills:**
+ Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 10+ years of security experience in support of sensitive host-nation government programs
+ Must possess a high level of understanding of government security related policies, procedures, and initiatives
+ Ability to apply the foregoing knowledge of government security requirements in a complex multi-level secure environment to ensure program compliance
+ Ability to work independently to identify, assess & resolve unique security situations to facilitate contract performance within the bounds of security
+ Highly proficient written and verbal communications skills with emphasis on clear and concise presentation of complex information

Role Profile
As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will be the go-to Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various projects, offering your insights and recommendations to enhance our security posture. With a strong technical background, you will work independently while leveraging the support of a tight-knit team. Your primary focus will be on providing expert advice and guidance on security solutions, particularly in cloud environments, especially Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert security advice and guidance on a range of projects.
- Act as the security SME, ensuring security considerations are integrated into project plans and deliverables.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate security risks effectively.
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments and reviews of systems, applications, and processes.
- Identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate security measures.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations, contributing to the ongoing maturity of organisational security.
- Promote security awareness across the organisation.
- Develop and deliver engaging security training and awareness programmes.
- Stay current with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.
- Advise on securing cloud-based solutions, focusing on Azure security tooling (e.g., configuring Azure Policy).
- Provide guidance on best practises for cloud security architecture and design.
- Assist in the development and implementation of cloud security policies and procedures.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of information and cyber security principles and practises.
- Experience with security assessment and risk management methodologies.
- Proficiency in cloud security, particularly with Azure security tools and services.
- Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
- Knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls and web proxies; experience with ZTNA, CTI, and threat modelling is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to align security outcomes with business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant industry experience.

We're on the hunt for a motivated, engaged Cyber Security Specialist to support, maintain and improve/contribute to the management of real time security operations, including real time analysis and ongoing security management across Vix’s application suite. This opportunity will suit someone with similarly aligned experience, working closely with our Platforms and Engineering streams, with excellent collaboration and communications skills. This role is based in our Manchester office, where we prioritise in-person collaboration and teamwork. The role is on-site, Monday to Friday.

Requirements
What will you be responsible for?
- Management of vulnerabilities
- Analysis and development of security requirements, including their design and implementation
- Conduct forensic analysis and post-mortem reviews of security incidents
- Assist in the security certification and accreditation processes
- Engagements in engineering activities
- Enhance consistency and transparency in IT Security risk management efforts
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external audits and assessments
- Raise awareness regarding relevant regulatory standards, upstream risks, and industry best practices
- Inform our security engineers about emerging vulnerabilities and threats that need attention in our environments, advising on the appropriate prioritization for remediation.
- Facilitate and execute scanning procedures and utilize various tools
- Continuously analyze CI vulnerability data
- Forge strong partnerships with engineers to ensure a supportive platform for achieving our security objectives
- Engage with Vix Customers to provide guidance on security-related issues
What does our ideal candidate look like?
- Willing and available to work on-site in our Manchester offices, Monday to Friday, full time.
- Relevant certifications/qualifications and/or significant commercial experience within the cybersecurity discipline
- In-depth knowledge and technical proficiency in operational delivery within complex, dispersed on and off-prem infrastructure, including cloud and embedded systems
- Interest and ability to impart knowledge, support and mentor the whole business in the cybersecurity space, including knowledge transfer, best practice and ongoing training and support
- Pragmatic and personable, with great communication skills and ability to build rapport quickly.
