Job Description – NEBOSH Tutor
About The Role
We’re looking for a forward-thinking, diligent, and enthusiastic tutor who is willing to travel across the UK to deliver high-quality training. With 28 centres nationwide, we’ll always aim to base you locally as much as possible. In addition to classroom delivery, you’ll also run some remote/online courses.
As a CST Training tutor, you’ll deliver NEBOSH courses across a range of categories (not just construction), as well as other health, safety, and environmental qualifications depending on your expertise.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll need to be an approved tutor in at least one NEBOSH category (such as Construction, Fire, General, Environment, or Health & Well being) and ideally hold experience delivering training to diverse learners.
We also welcome applications from those who are not yet approved but meet the essential criteria and are motivated to gain approval with our support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, professional training across NEBOSH qualifications (online and in person).
- Deliver other safety, environmental, and leadership qualifications such as:
- EUSR courses
- IEMA courses
- CCSNG courses
- ILM Level 5 Leadership and Management (development opportunity)
- NVQ Level 2+ in construction industry related qualifications (development opportunity)
- Operate in line with CST Training values and behaviours, ensuring all policies and standards are followed.
- Adapt confidently to IT systems used for course delivery and learner management.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Any one (or more) of the following qualifications:
- NEBOSH National General, Construction, Fire, Environmental, or Health & Wellbeing Certificate
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification
- IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management
- CCNSG Safety Passport
- EUSR
- Health & Safety related NVQ/SVQ (Level 3–6)
- Health & Safety related degree
- Minimum of 3 years’ occupational experience in health & safety or management, ideally within construction or a safety-related role.
- Evidence of up-to-date CPD.
Desirable Skills & Criteria
- Excellent communication, IT, and written skills.
- Ability to engage learners at all levels.
- Superb self-management and organisational skills.
- Clean driving licence.
- CITB Site Safety Plus Tutor Approval (or willingness to work towards).
- Adult Teaching Qualification (AET or equivalent) (or willingness to work towards).
- Additional professional passports/approvals such as CCSNG, EUSR, or IEMA.
