  • Monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software.
  • Develop and implement network security measures and best practices.
  • Manage network patching and upgrade schedules.
  • Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute network projects and enhancements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior support staff.
  • Respond to and manage IT support tickets escalated from lower tiers.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours network support.
  • Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of new network technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring network issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT support processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration and technical support.
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks) and VPN technologies.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG).
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team.
  • Experience with cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure VNet) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with wireless networking standards and security.
