Our client, based in Tamworth, is seeking an experienced Network Systems Engineer with strong expertise in virtualisation and a proven track record across Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, and Exchange Online/O365. The ideal candidate will also bring hands-on knowledge of Dell/EMC SANs, SonicWall, and network monitoring and configuration. This role involves managing the day-to-day administration, support, and troubleshooting of complex network environments, while also leading on software installations, upgrades, and issue resolution both remotely and on-site. A strong background in cloud-based solutions, virtualisation technologies, and collaboration with technical teams will be key to success in this position.
As a Network Systems Engineer, you will need to have/be:
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Windows and Hyper-V environments, including Dell EMC SAN.
- MCSE and CCNA certified.
- Expert in IT security protocols, with a proven track record in deploying cybersecurity measures and maintaining robust network defence strategies.
- Strong understanding of IT security compliance, risk management, and adherence to global cybersecurity regulations.
- Proven project management experience, with the ability to lead technical initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity planning (BCP).
- In-depth knowledge of network and data centre environments.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills for repetitive tasks and small-to-medium complexity solutions.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

They’re now looking for a Network Support Engineer to join their London team and deliver first-class technical support across both networking and bespoke media platforms.
The Responsibilities of the Network Support Engineer
- Provide hands-on support across customer networks, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Diagnose and resolve complex connectivity and platform issues, driving root-cause fixes.
- Install, configure, and maintain equipment both in the core network and at customer sites.
- Take full ownership of support cases, escalating only with full context.
- Work closely with engineering and operations on escalations and provisioning projects.
- Contribute to knowledge base, documentation, and peer reviews.
