POSITION SUMMARY
Provides technical management, inclusive of budget and schedule, for an attraction or attractions under an area of responsibility. Responsible for the successful specification, bid/award, design, production, installation, and acceptance testing of Ride and/or Show systems, to include Network Systems.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES  
+ Manages in-field installation, test and adjustment of scenic systems to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Works with Facility & Construction team and vendors to ensure a clear line of communication regarding installation, test, and adjust activities.
+ Reviews designs and documentation from vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and specifications. Oversees vendor's mock-up, prototype, and acceptance testing efforts to ensure final installed systems meet scope of work and contract specifications.
+ Creates scope of work documentation and awards contracts to vendors based on quantitative requirements derived from interpreting creative intent and employing Universal specifications.
+ Leads design and production reviews at vendor locations, ensuring product quality, specification conformance, and schedule accuracy.
+ Develops and oversees project schedules and budgetary demands. Produces scopes of work and manages vendor progress from design through installation, ensuring alignment with schedule and budget.
+ Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Who are we looking for?

The System Administrator will provide operational support, administration, and maintenance of all OSS/BSS servers, including building new servers and maintaining the existing estate of over 600 servers hosting internal and customer facing applications and services.

What will you be doing day-to-day?

You will be responsible for building and maintaining secure Microsoft Windows servers to host company applications and services, ensuring these systems are up to date with the latest security patches and that any identified vulnerabilities are quickly addressed.

You will ensure reliable operational systems are in place and that systems are monitored in a way that allows issues to be identified quickly and dealt with proactively.

You will gain an architectural overview and knowledge of the following systems:

Middleware components

Database structure

Provisioning flow

Log locations

Common workarounds and scenarios

Integrations with other applications and products

You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of documentation pertinent to the team.

You will be responsible for ensuring servers are backed up according to business requirements and that restore procedures are in place and regularly tested.

You will take part in a rota providing a 24/7 On Call Service.

Public & Private Cloud: AWS, Azure

Ability to work under pressure and manage the demands of numerous tasks.

Clear written communication and ability to produce coherent documentation.

Able to work on own initiative and effectively in partnership with others.

Experience of working in a Telecoms company is highly desirable.

Special Requirements:

OOH On call rota 7x24.

Some overtime is required to complete changes and install system security patches outside of standard business hours.

Some (limited) travel to other office's locations maybe expected under extreme circumstances, but this is not expected to be the norm.

The team is expanding and seeking a skilled Senior IT Systems Administrator to join a high-performance environment supporting critical infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support across complex IT environments
  • Monitor system performance to ensure uptime, reliability, and efficiency

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Awareness of McAfee EPO/ENS security tools
