We are at the early stages of building out the transformation leadership team to drive this programme of work forward and are looking for a highly competent, ambitious project manager to ensure we begin with solid foundations, appropriate governance and a secure roadmap for success.

Main Tasks:

● Supporting the foundation of the transformation workstream, including planning for recruitment, kick-off meetings, project initiation, scope definition and documentation

● Establishing and running appropriate ceremonies (standups, reviews, check-ins) as required

● Co-ordinating all reporting-out to wider stakeholders, including management of internal PM tools include Risk register, RAID log etc.

● Ensuring clear communication of progress to wider stakeholders and managing their engagement in the process

● Supporting with budget preparation, tracking and ensuring appropriate financial oversight where needed

Requirements

• EITHER: Has achieved proficiency in the Task of Project management - Level 5, OR: Has gained experience (typically five years) in a relevant business environment involved in the introduction and use of IT, including demonstrable success in managing multiple projects.
• Has experienced managing large-scale transformation projects involving multiple multi-disciplinary teams, often with complex long-term interdependencies
• Has excellent interpersonal skills and is fully experienced at dealing with clients/users. Has a good understanding of alternative software engineering life cycles for development and the concepts and practices required to implement effective information systems. Possesses a broad understanding of business and business Skills, and understands the significance of commercial constraints. Is able to recognise potential assignments outside own areas of specialisation and bring to bear appropriate expertise as necessary.
• Has proven project management and leadership skills, and a good knowledge of business analysis, system development and IT service management and is proficient in project quality management.

As a Senior Web Developer at Rentokil Initial, you will be expected to provide leadership, mentorship and guidance to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the company's digital properties, including 180 global websites and web applications. Your primary goal is to ensure that Rentokil Initial's online presence aligns with the company's brand identity and provides seamless user experiences for our customers.

You will utilise your expertise in content management systems such as Rhythmyx and Magnolia CMS to implement, customise, and optimise digital platforms according to project requirements.

Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and the teams Business Analysts to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and contribute to project planning and execution.

Key Tasks:

● Develop and Maintain Web Applications: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using PHP and MySQL.

● API Integration: Integrate third-party APIs and develop custom APIs to enhance functionality and interoperability of web applications.

● Database Management: Design, optimise, and manage MySQL databases ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.

● Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.

● Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including designers, front-end developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.

● Troubleshooting: Identify, debug, and resolve complex issues in web applications and ensure the smooth functioning of all features.

● Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve development processes and code quality.

Requirements

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

● Proven experience in developing and customising solutions.

● Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JS frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).

● Experience with RESTful web services, JSON, XML, and other web technologies.

● Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket, Git), build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle), and continuous integration/delivery practices.

● Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

● Effective communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
