We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Clinical Cleaner to join our esteemed cleaning services team, supporting critical operations within the NHS in Liverpool, Merseyside, UK . This role is paramount to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and infection control in a demanding healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing specialized cleaning duties, including deep cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of medical equipment and clinical areas. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform specialized cleaning and disinfection of clinical areas, including operating theatres, patient rooms, laboratories, and waiting areas.
• Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments according to strict protocols.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including COSHH and infection control guidelines.
• Handle and dispose of clinical waste safely and appropriately.
• Operate and maintain specialized cleaning machinery and equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules and tasks performed.
• Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies and spills.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
• Report any maintenance issues or supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, and contribute to a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in clinical or healthcare cleaning is essential.
• Knowledge of infection control principles and COSHH regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform demanding tasks.

About the role

We have a brand-new opportunity for a Senior Public Health Engineer to join our team based in our Manchester office.

We have maintained an office in Manchester for many years, developing strong relationships with clients across the region, and working on a variety of local, regional and international projects.

We have a proven track record working within the Residential, Commercial, Healthcare, Science & Research and Mission Critical & Data Centre sectors. Working alongside a range of specialist engineers and consultants, you will be joining a collaborative, knowledgeable, highly engaged team who love what they do, and offer a supportive, flexible, and high-performing work culture.

As a Senior Public Health Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering designs for a range of project types and sizes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and support staff delivering a consistent high-quality service for clients, ensuring that repeat and new business opportunities are developed, and profitability is achieved.

In this key and varied role, you can expect to:

• Provide detailed, coordinated and cost-efficient public health design advice to our varied client list.
• Tailor a comprehensive service of specifications, calculations and reports.
• Produce designs for above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater and roof drainage designs, hot and cold-water services and fire suppression systems to standards, budget and deadline.
• Produce calculations, reports and specifications with good written communication skills.
• Attend DTMs/client meetings and site inspections.
• Work with minimal supervision and you may be responsible for your own individual projects. In this role the ability to react efficiently to multiple tasks and tight deadlines is essential.

About you

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

• Proven experience working as a Public Health Engineer or closely related role, with a track record delivering on a variety of complex projects.
• Understanding of all drainage services including rainwater and domestic water services required.
• Use of relevant software/tools such as Revit and AutoCAD.
• Self-awareness, an open mind, and a spirit of generosity.
• Conversant with relevant British Standards.
• Consultancy experience.

+ Responsible for the delivery of Public Health and Fire Suppression systems designs at all RIBA Stages on projects
+ Supervising the completion of detailed designs and supervise the work of others in this function.
+ Considering the feasibility of the project specific to the discipline and lead the overall feasibility study for the project.
+ Taking responsibility for and direct others in the production of detailed and performance specification for the discipline subject to review by colleagues prior to issue.
+ Taking responsibility for and direct others in the production of detailed equipment schedules for issue with the discipline specific designs.
+ Regularly briefing the project team, explaining the appointment. Ensure contracts / letters of intent are in place for all projects before work begins. Make sure all team members have access to the agreed appointment documents.
+ Reviewing the detailed design programme and ensure that sufficient resource is available to complete the works.
+ Leading the completion and regular amendment to the project 'Cost to Complete' (CTC). Monitor the work of the project engineers and compare weekly against the previously agreed CTC. Flag up any potential 'profit' or 'loss' to your DTL when compared to the agreed fee.

+ Building Water Services Design which includes domestic hot and cold water, greywater recycling and rainwater harvesting.
+ Building Sanitary Drainage Design.

+ Building Gas Services Design.
+ Building Medical gas systems design.
+ Must be able to obtain UK vetting level of Security Check (SC)
