We are currently working in partnership with an inclusive and well-resourced SEN school which caters for pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. The school is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide vital support to pupils, staff, and families, with a strong emphasis on early intervention, emotional regulation, and tailored therapeutic input.

Role Summary:

You will play a central role within the school's multi-disciplinary team, providing psychological assessments, direct and indirect interventions, consultation, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and formulate intervention plans
  • Deliver direct therapeutic work with pupils (1:1 and group)
  • Provide consultation and training to teaching/support staff
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and multidisciplinary planning
  • Work closely with families to support pupil wellbeing and outcomes
  • Help shape whole-school approaches to mental health and wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Experience working with children/young people, ideally within an SEN or school setting
  • Strong understanding of neurodiversity, developmental trauma, and mental health presentations
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and teamworking skills
