As the dedicated charitable arm of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the Charity supports patients, staff, and services across the N&N Hospital, the Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital, and Cromer Hospital. About the Role As Charity Director, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the future of the organisation. You’ll work closely with the Corporate Trustee (the Board of the Trust) to drive strategic growth, increase income, and elevate the Charity’s profile and influence regionally and beyond. You’ll lead a passionate and dedicated team, secure high-value partnerships, and ensure robust governance, innovation, and impact across all areas of activity. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Deliver and evolve the Charity’s vision and strategy, aligned with NHS Trust priorities. Profile & Influence: Act as a compelling ambassador for the Charity, raising its profile internally and externally. Income Growth: Drive sustainable income from major donors, partnerships, grants, and community engagement. Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted relationships with NHS colleagues, donors, partners, and volunteers. Team Leadership: Inspire, develop, and support a high-performing team and volunteer base. Governance & Oversight: Ensure robust financial and operational management, compliance, and risk control. Impact & Insight: Track and communicate the Charity’s outcomes and achievements to drive improvement and engagement. About the Company

A high-growth, privately-owned fintech business operating in the cross-border payments space. With international operations and a robust client base, the company is at a critical stage of its journey. It is focused on scaling through a mix of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. The leadership team is seeking to strengthen its governance and advisory capabilities through the appointment of an experienced Non-Executive Director.


The Opportunity

This position will suit a commercially minded and strategically experienced individual with deep expertise in FX, financial risk, treasury, and compliance . The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO and Chief Risk Officer to provide challenge, guidance, and oversight across risk, finance, and commercial operations.

The role will involve chairing the Audit and Risk Committee , offering strategic input on governance, financial crime, and regulatory compliance matters, while also contributing to wider board discussions on growth and business planning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Chair the Audit and Risk Committee, overseeing audit processes, internal controls, and enterprise risk management.
  • Provide expert advice to the CFO and Chief Risk Officer across financial risk, treasury, and capital planning.
  • Support the executive team in shaping commercial strategy, pricing, and international expansion through both organic and acquisitive growth.
  • Offer governance and compliance oversight, with a focus on financial crime, AML, and legal frameworks.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous NED, board, or advisory experience within financial services, fintech, or payments .

The Opportunity

This position will suit a commercially minded and strategically experienced individual with deep expertise in FX, financial risk, treasury, and compliance . The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO and Chief Risk Officer to provide challenge, guidance, and oversight across risk, finance, and commercial operations.

The role will involve chairing the Audit and Risk Committee , offering strategic input on governance, financial crime, and regulatory compliance matters, while also contributing to wider board discussions on growth and business planning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Chair the Audit and Risk Committee, overseeing audit processes, internal controls, and enterprise risk management.
