The Role
Lead and deliver safety documentation for UK civil nuclear facilities (or defence).
Produce and review assessments including radiological/consequence, fault schedules, HAZANs, design basis and probabilistic.
Provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and manage workloads effectively.
Collaborate with stakeholders, support proposals, and contribute to wider business development.
What We're Looking For
10+ years' experience in nuclear safety case development/support.
Strong safety assessment skills across multiple technical areas.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and team mentoring skills.
Desirable Skills
Chemotoxic or environmental assessments.
Security case development (physical, cyber, or Vital Area).
Safeguards assessments.

Deputising for the PNED Build Assurance Manager as Required

Supporting or lead Nuclear Safety Engineering activities for the Astute and Dreadnought programme, including resolution of emergent issues during the Build and Commission of the Naval Reactor Plant using application of common Safety Engineering techniques where appropriate

This role offers you the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the Naval Reactor Plant for both the Astute Class and Dreadnought Class of submarines.
