This role is based at a 21-bed male-only rehabilitation hospital in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The service is split across two wards, including a 17-bed high-dependency recovery unit and a smaller bespoke therapy ward focused on intensive, personalised treatment. The site caters to adult males with complex mental health presentations, often with forensic or detained backgrounds under the MHA.

The hospital offers a structured yet therapeutic environment supported by a close-knit MDT. Treatment programmes are tailored using a blend of medical, psychological, and occupational interventions with a strong focus on building daily living skills, relapse prevention, and community integration. The site is CQC registered, regularly audited, and supported by a national private healthcare provider.

Duties:

Provide day-to-day operational and clinical leadership on the ward

Coordinate rotas and ensure effective skill mix and staffing levels

Lead on staff supervisions, appraisals, and mandatory training compliance

Work alongside the Ward Manager to implement service improvement plans

Contribute to incident investigations, audits, and safeguarding processes

Act as a role model for junior nursing staff and support a culture of accountability
