We’re seeking an empathetic and dedicated Registered Nurse in Dover or surrounding to provide one-on-one care for a young adult with complex healthcare needs.

The Role:
We are pleased to support a client in the Dover area with her complex care needs, including Cerebral Palsy, Bipap, Dystonia, PEG feeding, and Moving and Handling. Whilst supporting her clinically she also has a keen interest in cooking, and as part of your role, you will provide support to her in this activity.
She communicates using eye gaze technology, so experience with this is desired however not essential as you will receive training to effectively assist her with this.
Comprehensive in-house training and an induction programme will be provided, led by our Nurse Manager, to ensure you are fully equipped with the skills and knowledge required to deliver the highest standard of care. We are committed to supporting you throughout your role to ensure the best possible outcomes for our client.
Shifts Available:
Various Shifts bank between Monday – Sunday 08:00 – 20:00
Various Shifts bank between Monday – Sunday 20:00 - 08:00
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Nurse Manager Team to provide quality care to a complex client.
- Commit to a regular working pattern and collaborate with Care Coordinators for effective care delivery
- Provide 1-2-1 support to a adult with Complex Care needs
- Build rapport with clients and families, working within the family home to achieve individual goals
- Potential for growth and development into a supervisor or management role
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Commitment to 2 regular shifts per week.
- UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
- Ability to fit seamlessly into the family home setting.
- Compassion, confidence, and a gentle caring nature.
- Clean and valid Registered Nurse pin with at least 1 year post-registration experience.
- Experience in delivering care to complex clients, preferably in the community.

You will work with clients with a wide variety of life-limiting conditions, including conditions from birth, degenerative conditions, spinal injuries and brain injuries, as well as those requiring interventions such as ventilations, gastrostomy and bowel management.
You will need to have experience with both Adult and Paediatric Complex Care Clients.
Working Hours:
You will benefit from contracted hours working over a set 2-week rolling rota, consisting of 3 nights in Week 1 and 4 nights in Week 2. As well as directly supporting the clients, you may find yourself assisting with the training and induction of Healthcare Assistants or Nurses to provide greater support and contingency for the clients we support.
