Nursing Home Manager Duties:

• Ensure the home consistently meets CQC requirements and adheres to all regulatory requirements
li>Oversee and evaluate the standard of care provided, making sure it is tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences. < i>Take responsibility for recruiting, training, supervising, and developing staff, ensuring a confident and capable workforce.
• Maintain strong, supportive relationships with internal and external bodies.
• Act as the lead for safeguarding, health & safety, infection prevention, and risk management throughout the home.
• Drive occupancy by monitoring bed availability and promoting the home positively to potential residents and their families.

Nursing Home Manager Requirements:

< i>Proven experience in managing a nursing home
• NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care Leadership or RMA equivalent

• Lead and mentor a team of nursery staff, providing guidance and support.
• Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's learning and development across all areas of the curriculum.
• Oversee the daily routines and operations of a designated room or age group.
• Conduct regular observations and assessments of children's progress, maintaining detailed records.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including Ofsted guidelines and safeguarding policies.
• Build positive and collaborative relationships with parents and guardians, sharing updates on their child's progress.
• Promote a positive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery's services and curriculum.
• Undertake professional development to stay updated with best practices in early years education.

• A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education (e.g., NNEB, NVQ Level 3, Cache Diploma).
• Proven experience working within a nursery or early years setting, with previous experience in a senior or leadership role highly desirable.
• A strong understanding of child development theories and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Excellent communication, observational, and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• A clear and enhanced DBS check.

As the Home Manager your key responsibilities include:

• Ensure high standards of service delivery within a quality assurance framework by ensuring that the highest level of nursing and residential care standards are maintained at all times through the quality assurance cycle
• Ensure that the care home complies with all relevant legislation and registration requirements by establishing, maintaining and monitoring procedures and maintaining awareness of major developments and legislation within the sector
• Manage the recruitment, performance and development of quality staff to ensure that skilled staffs are available to meet the needs of the service, ensuring compliance to all HR and L&D policy requirements
• Ensure economic viability assisting in setting, monitoring and controlling budgets to ensure income is maximised and value for money achieved, including new business opportunities are identified and occupancy is exceeded
• Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of strategies and plans to enable the care home to achieve its business objectives
• Promote the aims and interests of the business with external organisations by marketing and promoting the business to external agencies and within the wider community
• Actively maintain the company's external reputation through effective partnership working with external stakeholders
• Contribute, as appropriate, to special projects and change programmes in support of the Group's objectives

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Previous experience in managing a nursing home
• Ability in budget preparation and control
• Experience of directly managing staff
• Excellent understanding of written and spoken English
• Ability to demonstrate a positive and accepting approach to clients whatever their needs
• Able to interrogate and extract data from computer systems

The successful Home Manager will receive an excellent salary up to £76,196 per annum DOE. This exciting position is a permanent full time role for 40 hours a week working through Day Shifts. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
