Registered General Nurse
Nursing Home details:
A large care home (with nursing facilities) in Hove, BN3 housing a maximum of 41 individuals, houses younger and elderly adults including people with mental health conditions and also accepts individuals with dementia and physical disabilities.
Available Hours:36-48 hours per week Paid breaks Day shifts, Night shift Pay rate: £20 per hour Location: Hove, BN3Our qualified nursing team are available 24 hours a day to provide medical and other forms of specialized support. Respecting older people and recognizing each resident as a unique individual, our nurses provide not just high-quality nursing skills, but truly person-centred care.
About the Role:
Some of the responsibilities:
Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.Evaluate and respond to changes in patient condition and needs.Deal proactively and effectively with suggestions and complaints from patients and their families / carers.Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary team.Participate in regular clinical and non-clinical meetings and attend other meetings as requested.Prioritize nursing duties and delegate appropriately and effectively within the shift co-ordination Framework, working as nurse in charge as required, ensuring as far as reasonable practicable a safe environment.Develops and maintains a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues and visitors responding promptly and courteously to requests, enquiries and suggestions.Helps to promote and to maintain an environment conducive to meeting the needs of the patient / relatives and carers.Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice at least Monthly.Work in accordance with safeguarding adult and children policies and requirements.Ensure the requirements of the Mental Health, Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Standards are met.Planning, implementing, and supervising the provision of quality careMaintaining the required medical documentationUpholding residents’ rights to privacy, dignity and choiceReporting any ill health among the residents and requesting professional visits when necessaryFamiliarizing yourself with, and strictly adhering to, company policy and procedure and Care Inspectorate guidelinesAbiding by the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s (NMC’S) code of professional conductPlease note we are only accepting candidates with a UK active PIN, experience in the UK at least 1 year.The main requirements for this role are:

**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin**
As a Nurse your key duties include:
- Accurately assess the needs of residents and identify priorities of care
- Administer all medication and treatments within the NMC guidelines and company medication policy
- Ensure that residents care plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with residents, relatives and other health care professionals
- Report any ill-health amongst residents and make request for GP/professional visit where necessary
