The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts clearly to diverse audiences. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute significantly to the security posture of a leading organisation from the comfort of your home office, working with cutting-edge cloud technologies and a talented team of security professionals. If you are a dedicated cloud security expert looking for a challenging and rewarding remote career, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Configure and maintain cloud security services, including firewalls, WAFs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure for security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance deviations.
  • Develop and execute incident response plans for cloud-based security events.
  • Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) policies and solutions.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud resources.
  • Develop and maintain security automation scripts (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python).
  • Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to promote secure development practices (DevSecOps).
  • Provide expert guidance and support on cloud security best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT security, with a strong focus on cloud security administration.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP security services.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing cloud IAM, network security, and data protection controls.
  • Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) and cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for security automation.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and incident response methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, globally distributed team.
