World leading commodity trading house seeks a bright and dynamic permanent ETRM Business Analyst to join their Central London Global HQ working on their Endur v.24 Global upgrade project.

- 3 years+ ETRM business analysis experience working on any 3rd party/external ETRM system or an in-house system
- This role is focused on Gas & Power Trading but you could have worked on any commodity (Gas, Power, Oil, Metals, Ags, Softs, LNG etc)
- Any experience or exposure to Endur ETRM (any version) would be useful but this can be learnt
- Previous data analytics experience, with any experience of KAFKA (data messaging system) being useful
- Strong SQL skills
- Strong academics, including a bachelor’s degree (or above) from a leading university
- You will need a British or Irish passport or a visa allowing you to live and work in the UK as my client won’t sponsor visas
- Location: 3 days per week working out of their Central London HQ, with 2 days flexi working (working from home)

This is a fantastic opportunity for a very bright ETRM Business Analyst who will have gained some good experience working either for a rival commodity trading house, E/CTRM software vendor or E/CTRM services consultancy. You will be:
- Keen to work for a leading global trading house
- Working on the latest release of Endur (v24)
- Working on a global upgrade project
- Working closely on this initial project with an Endur guru/expert who will mentor you (if needed)
- It’s unusual for a leading trading house to offer such x-training into Endur, which is very much the in-demand E/CTRM system that most of the major commodity trading houses use

As you progress in the role, you will be expected to take on more responsibility and develop your knowledge and consultative skills, with the aim of becoming a Senior Consultant.
To be considered for the role, you will have achieved a first or high 2:1 degree from a top-twenty university in a life science subject alongside outstanding A level grades, including A or A* in maths and science. The ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and topics is imperative. An understanding of statistical concepts and spreadsheet modelling is required, and you should be highly numerate and computer literate - especially in Excel. Some travel in the UK and overseas will be part of the role, so you should have flexibility to accommodate. The role will be based full time at the company’s offices near High Wycombe, you therefore will need to be able to drive and have your own transport.
You will be rewarded with a starting salary of £28,000 (increasing to £31,000 upon successful completion of a six‑month probationary period) as well as a generous bonus scheme that reflects your individual performance. Twenty-seven days’ holiday a year in addition to Bank Holidays and a matching company pension contribution of 5% of your salary.

Shell Energy Europe & Environmental Products is seeking an individual for very long-term Power Market Fundamental Analysis of Europe. This position is responsible for supporting finance, investments and strategy department with analysis developed from a deep understanding of the key long-term drivers such as generation (wind, solar, gas fired, coal fired, batteries, etc.) transmission, regulatory, and demand.
This position must build credibility with internal customers so that such foresight can be translated into long term group decisions gain primarily in our New Energies division and finance. The emphasis is on developing both qualitatively and quantitatively advantaged capabilities, supported as appropriate by models, tools and techniques that yield high quality insight. Collaborating with peers in the Short, Mid-Term and Long-term Fundamentals team to build scalability in this respect is essential.
You will:
+ Deliver very long-term market view for strategic projects and use fundamental analysis techniques to support Shell group decisions.
+ Research and understand the fundamentals drivers related to supply/demand/transmission in the context of long-term modelling focused on developing forward pricing views.
+ Monitor market developments in market design/regulatory issues that could impact prices.

**What we need from you**
We are keen to hear from candidates with significant experience in Power Fundamentals, with the following technical skills and experience:
+ Experience with power system analysis software & packages (e.g., Plexos, Aurora, EPSI etc.).
+ Good knowledge in energy economics
+ Strong knowledge of the European Energy Markets
+ Very strong numerical and analytical skills
+ Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
+ Excellent IT skills incl. ability to model in main languages as Python and in the MS Windows environment (particularly Excel), Experience interfacing with databases (SQL)
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or any related degrees required.
+ Demonstrated understanding of power fundamentals.
