We are recruiting for an Associate Risk Consultant to join our growing team at either our London, Manchester, Birmingham, or Bristol offices.
As an Associate Risk Consultant, you will be responsible for implementing and advising on Risk Management solutions for AECOM's major infrastructure projects across a broad range of sectors.
Working as part of the AECOM Integrated Programme Controls team, the Associate Risk Consultant will need to be comfortable with engaging with senior stakeholders and customers. They will work closely with a range of internal, client and sub-contractor staff to develop an accurate understanding of risk exposure, implementing appropriate governance and supporting effective decision making.
You will be part of an established team of risk professionals supporting various capital projects across the UK with opportunities to support AECOM's vast number of projects and programmes globally.
**Here's what you'll do**
+ Act as the risk management lead for high value projects and programmes
+ Engage with project teams to ensure the effective implementation of risk management
+ Provide direct risk management input to bids and proposals to secure new business
+ Perform risk assurance checks to ensure the quality of project and programme risk management
+ Communicate key project and programme risk management data to senior leaders
+ Produce comprehensive risk reports for informed decision making
+ Coaching and mentoring staff in risk management best practice
+ Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of risks
+ Develop robust Risk Registers, Risk Management Plans, and Risk Mitigation Plans
+ Conduct Quantitative Risk Analysis (QCRA and QSRA), utilising techniques such as Monte-Carlo to establish project contingency levels
+ Ability to design and implement risk management frameworks for projects and programmes
+ Support cost, scheduling, project controls and change management teams where appropriate

**Here's what we're looking for:**
As the ideal candidate you will have experience working within our primary markets along with having the following preferred experience and qualifications.
+ You will be required to have 5+ years experience in risk management on complex projects and programmes.
+ Bachelor's Degree from a recognised and accredited university or hold a risk management qualification (MOR, APM Risk, IRM)
+ Proven experience and excellent working knowledge gained in a multi-discipline project environment
+ Proficient in the use of Industry Risk Management tools (ARM, Xactium, RiskHive, Predict etc.)
+ Demonstrable experience in conducting Quantitative Risk Analysis (QCRA & QSRA) using tools such as Safran, Primavera Risk Analyser, @risk.
+ Competency in implementing Risk Management processes aligned with ISO31000, Institute of Risk Management, or Association of Project Management methodologies
+ Experience of managing a team of risk professionals
+ Flexibility to travel and work in different sectors
+ Good task facilitation skills
+ Knowledge of engineering and construction management.
+ Working knowledge of current methodologies and tools related to managing projects

A rapidly growing and well-established manufacturing organisation based in Greater Manchester are currently looking to hire an Operational Excellence Manager to join their senior leadership team on a permanent basis.

This is a newly created position with the primary focus of delivering growth through efficiency via the deployment of World Class Manufacturing.

Reporting to the Head of Operations and working closely with other stakeholders in Production the first objective will be to identify loss and waste in a 24/5 semi-automated production process. As the position develops you will be expected to own the WCM program and run a steering committee with front line managers who will be running specific tasks (5S pilots, problem solving, 5Ys) The site is at the start of their WCM journey so there will be opportunity to design and build the WCM framework and processes. Long term the plan is to role this out to other sites internationally.

Other tasks include:

• Identifying and managing small CAPEX investments to support the WCM plan
• Deliver training, workshops, and bring on-board sessions; providing facilitation, materials and support for the line managers

Description

Join Amazon's Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) Strategy team as a Senior Strategy Risk Manager responsible for developing and implementing security through critical documentation frameworks. In this role, you will partner with senior leadership to develop and refine strategic communications, operational plans, and executive-ready materials that support WWOS's mission to prevent, detect, and investigate security-related disruptions across Amazon's expanding business lines. You will play a crucial role in documenting and communicating WWOS's OP2'25 strategic initiatives, including our savings plan through End-to-End Secure Network, Cost to Serve optimization, and Operational Resilience programs.



Key job responsibilities

Own and manage the end-to-end development of high-impact strategic documents, including Operational Plans, Strategic Planning Sessions (SPS), white papers, and executive communications

Partner with WWOS senior leadership to translate complex security initiatives and data into clear, compelling narratives that drive action and alignment

Develop and maintain documentation standards, templates, and best practices for the organization

Lead the review and editing PR process for critical deliverables, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and strategic alignment

Basic Qualifications

Description

Join Amazon's Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) Strategy team as a Senior Strategy Risk Manager responsible for developing and implementing security through critical documentation frameworks. In this role, you will partner with senior leadership to develop and refine strategic communications, operational plans, and executive-ready materials that support WWOS's mission to prevent, detect, and investigate security-related disruptions across Amazon's expanding business lines. You will play a crucial role in documenting and communicating WWOS's OP2'25 strategic initiatives, including our savings plan through End-to-End Secure Network, Cost to Serve optimization, and Operational Resilience programs.



Key job responsibilities

Own and manage the end-to-end development of high-impact strategic documents, including Operational Plans, Strategic Planning Sessions (SPS), white papers, and executive communications

Partner with WWOS senior leadership to translate complex security initiatives and data into clear, compelling narratives that drive action and alignment

Develop and maintain documentation standards, templates, and best practices for the organization

Lead the review and editing PR process for critical deliverables, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and strategic alignment

Create and manage change management documentation to support major initiatives and organizational transformations

Transform complex data and metrics into clear, actionable insights for various stakeholder audiences

Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion

Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to gather input and ensure comprehensive coverage of WWOS's strategic priorities

Manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

Drive continuous improvement in documentation processes and tools

Adapt communication strategies based on emerging security threats and business needs

Basic Qualifications

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- Experience in program management or risk management

- Experience in effectively communicating complex projects into impactful C-suite level documents

- Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects

- Strong track record of developing and implementing strategic initiatives

- Proven ability to navigate ambiguous situations and create structure

- Experience working in global, matrix organizations

- Experience in data interpretation and visualization

- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information

- Native or bilingual proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

- Master's degree or equivalent

- Advanced degree in relevant field

- Experience with change management communications

- Experience with technical writing or documentation systems

- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies

- Background in supply chain security or operations

- Experience with risk management frameworks and methodologies

- Additional language proficiency

We are seeking an experienced Senior Recordkeeping Risk Manager to join our Workplace Health and Safety Worldwide Recordkeeping Team. This strategic leadership position will drive global compliance and data integrity initiatives across Amazon's vast operations network, including Fulfillment Centers, Amazon Stores, Transportation Network, Prime Air, and emerging business ventures.



Key Responsibilities:

Lead and enhance the global workplace health and safety compliance and recordkeeping program

Develop and implement comprehensive recordkeeping strategies across global operations.

Develop and integrate streamlined processes for regulatory compliance.

Create and execute risk-based compliance work plans.

Establish and maintain policies and procedures aligned with government and industry standards.

Partner with internal stakeholders to identify compliance risks and implement preventative measures.

Oversee the review of business documentation and systems for regulatory compliance.



Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field (Occupational Safety, Business Administration, or similar)

Experience in safety, compliance, risk management, or related field

Demonstrated experience managing global safety programs

Strong understanding of international workplace safety regulations

Proven track record of process improvement and risk mitigation

Excellence in cross-functional collaboration and leadership



Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certifications in safety or risk management preferred

Experience with data management systems

Knowledge of emerging technologies and their impact on safety compliance

Preferred Qualifications

- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent

- Master's degree or equivalent

- Proven Technical or Procedure Writing Skills
