Responsibilities
- Assisting the Area Managers, Project Managers and Functional Managers with maintaining a compliant and organised document filing structure
- Assisting the contract team by ensuring document conformance - appropriate use of templates, referencing & document formatting etc.
- Maintaining a record schedule and document distribution matrix; index and store records and documents to ensure that they are easily retrievable. Undertake regular reporting on the status of documentation to Area managers and the senior team.
- Working in conjunction with the Contract and Data Team, carry out activities in compliance with document and records procedures to ensure that documents and records are managed appropriately.
- Work with the Contract Team by taking a proactive approach to status updates, maintaining the flow of documentation & important information across the contact
- Develop, load and maintain documents on the Contract Management System & the Document Management System implemented to ensure that approved documents are readily available.
Qualifications
- Experience of document management within a project environment.
- Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Visio and Outlook,
- Experience of using an Electronic Document Management System to maintain documents and records.
- Possess high standards of organisational skills, have the ability to prioritise workload
- Able to work under pressure, a team player and self-motivated.
- A good understanding of electronic file types and the requirement for accurate document referencing. A good knowledge of filing systems and the aim of distribution matrices, engineering and design document control and vendor data.

Costain are working with Anglian Water on their new Reservoirs Programme to support progression of 2 huge new reservoirs through DCO (Govt Approval). We are primarily acting as Anglian Water\'s Principal Contractor under CDM for the extensive site investigation works and have fantastic opportunities for individuals looking to join our growing delivery team, working predominantly across Sleaford (Lincolnshire), Chatteris (Cambridgeshire) and Peterborough.
This role will report directly into the Commercial Manager, whilst working closely with the operational leaders within the framework. We are looking for someone who is highly driven and proactive, dynamic and who is capable to deliver successful commercial outcomes.
The role will involve all aspects of commercial activities from the initial tender to final account and close out, seeking to enhance value for money, whilst achieving the required standards and quality. A high standard of collaboration skills are required in order to support our valued client.
The role is based around hybrid working within our Peterborough office and home and ideally you will be based in or around the Lincolnshire/Cambridgeshire region where you will have the opportunity to visit operational sites.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of proposals relating to the works carried out under the Anglian Water SRO Framework
- Management and agreement of compensation events and change on the projects
- Provide support to the Commercial Manager and liaise with Customer\'s Commercial Team
- Develop the efficient and effective management and issue of accurate, timely and compliant notices and correspondence
- Ensure contractual and commercial risks and opportunities are identified to the Commercial Manager
- Prepare monthly progress valuations and claims for work completed within deadlines
- Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts, and Contract Budget reports
- Ensure registers of variations, delay, extension of time applications and claims are contemporaneous and maintained
- Produce records of pre-Contract tender negotiations & reports where necessary
- Review value management and advise on Risk management
- Prepare, review and complete of sub-contract documentation
Qualifications
- A creative and innovative approach to problem-solving
- Increasing knowledge of a variety of forms & options of contracts
- Experience of drafting effective contractual correspondence and the facilitation of collaborative solutions
- Experience of developing & implementing procurement and contract strategies
- Proven negotiation and team-working skills
- Strong analytical skills
