We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Worker to join our team in the Portakabin Hire Division based in Peterborough. In this role you will be responsible for assembling and installing manufactured components or products to agreed design specification and tolerance. This includes the safe handling, moving, installing and finishing to specification and within deadlines under the guidance of a line manager.
Role Responsibilities
*Apply lean principles and techniques to help and contribute to your team delivering and exceeding our KPI targets.
*Ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety practices and all applicable legislation to encourage and maintain a zero-harm environment and culture.
*Prepare products to be installed or dismantled for safe transport.
*Undertake the installation or dismantle of Building Services products to agreed standards in the most efficient manner.
*Carry out after hire inspections and report findings once the products are returned to the depot in order to prepare invoice for damages.
*Liaise with stores to ensure correct materials are present for task in hand.
*Ensure all product materials are stored in a safe & tidy manner.
*Ensure company vehicles, tools and equipment are maintained to the highest possible standards to maximise their use and prolong life.
*Undertake the preparation of Building Services products.
*Be thorough in the separation and segregation of waste to meet environmental requirements.
*Ensure reused fittings and materials are utilised as a priority without compromising quality.

We are looking for someone who has:
*Proven operational experience related to trade/role.
*Experience of working in a client facing role.
*Strong ability in establishing good relationships with customers and staff, building effective networks.
*Experience gained within construction/related industry.
*Full UK Driving Licence - You will be driving to customer sites.
*Ability to accept and tackle demanding goals with enthusiasm.
*Good organisation & planning skills.

About the role
As a Hydrogeologist, you'll play a key role in managing technical groundwater investigation projects that assess quality risks to our water sources, particularly from PFAS and other anthropogenic contaminants. Working within the Water Resources and Drought Team, you'll oversee project delivery, support drought response and water quality initiatives, and contribute to the safe execution of capital programmes such as borehole rehabilitation and quality/yield investigations. Your work will support the development of future water resource strategies and investment planning.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing day-to-day delivery of groundwater quality-related projects and consultant/contractor relationships.
- Supporting the safe and efficient delivery of groundwater-related capital programmes (e.g. borehole rehabilitation, water quality investigations).
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety standards and CDM regulations.
- Liaising with external stakeholders such as the Environment Agency to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Providing technical input to support future investment planning and business risk mitigation.
- Supporting source protection through catchment monitoring and investigation.

- A postgraduate degree in hydrogeology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Proven project management skills and experience delivering technical projects.
